ARE THE MAINSTREAM POLITICIANS AFRAID OF AV IN CASE IT CHANGES THEIR COSY EXISTENCE?

William Hague has attacked Liberal Democrat plans to introduce Alternative Vote system by declaring 'A vote for AV will be a vote for the BNP'.  (I hope so, Ed).

In a rallying cry to the Tory rank-and-file, the Foreign secretary called the AV system 'unfair' and 'expensive'.

He is seeking to mobilise his party in a bid to save the current first-past-the-post voting system that could be abolished in the upcoming electoral reform referendum.

Now I don't hold any truck with the BNP and AV as a voting system is about as much use as a fart in a spacesuit, however what it does show is that the Conservatives and Labour are afraid of a Westminster where a range of views are heard, instead of MPs being acquiescent to the wishes of their party whips and trooping into their parties lobby.

I believe that the Scottish Parliament was improved by the likes of Tommy Sheridan's crew and it is my fervent hope that George Galloway gets elected this time.  We need a range of different views at Westminster.  MPs who are not beholden to their party for promotion or Government jobs and can actually help their constituents.  I also think without the Libdums, we would have seen much more extremist policies from the Tories and although I wouldn't have disagreed with all of them after 13 tears of shite from Labour.  I see the bastards are kicking up again about IPSO, if they don't like it they can resign.  All this pish about their expenses claims not being honoured making them unable to do their jobs properly looking after their constituents, is the biggest load of crap, I have ever heard.

It's time we rumbled up the whole Palace of Westminster, starting with the Lords and the political placemen who sit in 'that place' and collect over £1000 per week in expenses, some of which have criminal convictions like Lord Watson, who should have had his enoblement taken off him.

Why should we continue to pay £billions of OUR MONEY, to keep this shambles of an Establishment going.  The time for change is here, now.

Are Celtic FC and their fans paranoid?  My mate, a big Celtic fan, excitedly sent me the above picture as evidence of a referees' bias against Celtic and presumably, for, Rangers FC, the other half of the 'Old Firm'.  We've just had a referees' strike in Scotland caused mainly by the insistence of the Celtic Manager, Neil Lennon, an Irish fuckwit and John Reid, the Celtic Chairman and former Labour bruiser at Westminster, who should know better, that Scottish referees are against Celtic and the decisions don't go their way for that reason.  They should try supporting one of the smaller Scottish teams, trying to get a decision at Celtic Park.

Now, we come to the paranoia.  The above picture is getting on for 40 years old.  Tiny Wharton, the referee, has only stopped wearing the black blazer that he used to referee games in and slimmed down at the insistence of the SFA, FFS.

Are referees in Scotland anti-Celtic?  No, would be my answer to that.  There will be Catholic referees as well as other faiths and maybe if some of the paranoia was aimed at the Catholic Church in Scotland's insistence on separate schools for Catholic children and kids were not split up into two faiths when they were five, maybe any perceived anti-Catholic bias wouldn't exist.

But of course, that wouldn't suit the Catholic Church, because separate schools are just a kid's first steps into paying into the Catholic Church business, which if they can get a stupid enough adherent, will continue until they're laid to rest.  The same applies to the other Churches as well, in my opinion, just in case I'm accused of any anti-Catholic/Celtic bias!

SNP MP Angus MacNeil,  questioned the Deputy Prime
Minister on the connection between honours and donations to political
parties.

The question by Mr MacNeil, who sparked the cash for honours
investigation, was greeted by an awkward silence in the Commons. His
question followed the announcement of 54 further appointments to the
Lords.

Commenting outside the chamber Mr MacNeil said:

“There should be no connection between donations and honours, but the
awkward silence of MPs across the London parties said it all - you
could have heard a pin drop in the chamber. Needless to say Nick Clegg
fudged the answer.

“Members from all other political parties seemed to squirm and look at
their feet or their finger nails as the Lords is still tainted by the
connection between political donations and peerages.

“The new government may talk the talk on House of Lords reform but we
still have far too many big donors being elevated to the upper House.”


No one from the SNP sits in the Lords as they are men of principle, who don't get elevated to the peerage by favour or by buying a seat, with a considerable cash donation to a party.  The whole system stinks and it was time it was pulled down and started again.


All smoke and mirrors.  There is still a stench from Westminster.  But, did we really believe they would clean it up?  If you did, I'm sorry but you are naive in the extreme!

WHY IS THE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT GIVING £1M TO PAKISTAN?

THE Scottish Government is to make almost £1 million available to Scottish-based organisations helping Pakistan flood victims.  They’re giving emergency funding of £500,000 for humanitarian aid and more than £400,000 of development funding.
External Affairs Minister Fiona Hyslop said, “It’s our moral duty to do whatever is in our power to ease the suffering of the people whose lives have been devastated.  “In providing assistance Scotland is saying it cares.”
A further £415,450 has been allocated to projects in Pakistan this year under the South Asia strand of the Government’s international development programme.

Now don't get me wrong.  I give to charity.  I may or may not have given to this charity, although the site of the Pakistan President over here, lecturing our Prime Minister,  while his country is dealing witht the floods, could get your back up, but that would be down to my personal choice.

But WHY is the Scottish Government giving OUR TAX MONEY to a disaster in Pakistan.. International Aid is as far as I know, is a matter reserved to WESTMINSTER and we are pledged to give 0.7% of GDP to aid which currently amounts to nearly £9billion.  The Scottish Government is about to tell us how bad the cuts are going to have to be, so surely this £1m, could have been used elsewhere, in SCOTLAND.  As my Granny used to say, "CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME" and the Scottish Government would do well to remember that.

SCOTLAND MUST NOT FALL FOR THE CALMAN POCKET MONEY TRAP!

Professors Andrew Hughes Hallett and Drew Scott have warned that Calman changes will have a "more severe" effect in Scotland than in other parts of the UK, and that recommendations from the commission could result in a 25% cut in spending, lost income tax revenue and an inability to use higher VAT to compensate.
"The emergency Budget  shows why Calman couldn’t work, with the GERS figures showing a Scottish surplus of £1.3 billion compared to a UK-wide deficit of £48.9 billion completes the case for Scotland to be responsible for our own resources.

Scotland should not fall into this UNIONIST TRAP.  They want to allow us to vary tax by 10p, while they hammer down our block grant from WESTMINSTER to compensate.  This is POCKET MONEY.  If Westminster and the Unionist parties want to give SCOTLAND tax powers, allow us to raise and spend all our taxes with full FISCAL INDEPENDENCE.  We'll pay you for our defence etc and the UNION will be strengthened not weakened.  NOT!

ADVENTURER BEAR GRYLLIS TO SHAG 10,000 SCOUTS OVER THE BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

TV adventurer Bear Grylls,  plans to shag more than 10,000 Scouts over the bank holiday weekend.

So that's it.  All over bar the shouting.  What's my feeling?  I would think in 48 hours there will be a wafer thin majority for the TORIES.

I hope over the last few weeks and months I might have persuaded some of you to vote today for the SNP.  At least the ones of you who live in Scotland!  I know some of you would never vote SNP in a month of Sundays for one reason or another.  Some because you don't like Alex Salmond, others because of Europe.  But one thing is certain.  ONLY THE SNP WILL STAND UP FOR SCOTLAND.  Remember the feeble fifty Scottish Labour MPs, in the Thatcher years.  If you believe in INDEPENDENCE FOR SCOTLAND as I do, please do not cast your vote for the LONDON BASED PARTIES.  They're only interested in sticking their SNOUTS IN THE WESTMINSTER TROUGH.  Let's get INDEPENDENCE first and then we'll worry about the rest.  

Anyway, whatever way you cast your vote, I'm sure we'll have some fun in the coming  months. 

LATEST POLL OF POLLS-SNP UP EIGHT PERCENT!

The latest polls have shown a rise in support for the SNP of eight percent from the 2005 General Election.

SNP Depute Leader Nicola Sturgeon said:
 "This is a very strong showing from the SNP as the only party to gain  ground in Scotland from the last Westminster election. SNP support is up 8  points as all the London parties see their vote fall.  "Voters are turning away from the 2 main UK parties and choosing a positive alternative - in Scotland this poll demonstrates that alternative  is the SNP.
 "While the Lib Dem's may fool voters in England that support is not being  replicated in Scotland because people have a more credible and attractive alternative to the failed Westminster parties.
 "Despite their high profile in the TV debates Labour, the Lib Dems and the  Tories are down on the 2005 election as Scottish voters turn against the  Westminster machine and in favour of local and national champions.

 We will show that in a balanced Parliament it is only a vote for the SNP that will put Scotland's interests on the Westminster agenda."

SNP WELL AHEAD IN 'SUNDAY POST' POLL

With the General Election expected to be called on Tuesday, the  Scottish National Party welcomed the results of the Sunday Post Email  Jury in Scotland, which gives the following levels of support:

• SNP: 37.1%
• Con: 25.9%
• Lab: 18.8%
• Lib Dem: 6.5%
• UKIP: 2.9%
• Other: 8.8%

SNP Westminster leader Angus Robertson MP said:

“This is only one indication of public opinion in Scotland, but it is  an extremely welcome one nonetheless. The SNP are standing in this  election as local and national champions – SNP MPs to champion the  interests of their constituency, and the SNP to champion the interests  of Scotland. It is a positive, popular and compelling message – in  stark contrast to the negativity and phoney war of the Westminster  machine parties.”

LABOUR ARE RUSHING THROUGH £11 BILLION OF PET PROJECTS BEFORE THE ELECTION

Despite frequently saying that they were planning to cut public spending, reports suggest that Labour ministers are instead pushing through the lucrative computer contracts, housing plans and new pension schemes before the election.

Reports on Monday suggested that among the spending already approved was is about £4bn on the long-delayed NHS scheme for patient records to be available to any GP or hospital in England.  Labour insists the NHS contracts are being revised to save taxpayers £600m.

MY BIG FAT ARSE!  Lucrative contracts are being pushed through now so that THIEVING LABOUR PLACEMEN will be able to get cushy 'CONSULTANCY' jobs with the COMPANIES WHO ARE GETTING THE CONTRACTS.

The worst thing is that the TORIES will shout a bit, but not too much because they will do the SAME THING when it is THEIR TURN.  The whole stinking, corpulent WESTMINSTER BAG OF SHITE, needs a CROMWELL, A CHURCHILL or a FUCKING BIG GUN!

STRING THE BASTARDS UP!

FUCK ME, THEY DIDN'T SPEND THE MONEY ON THEIR TEETH ANYWAY!

Elliot Morley, David Chaytor and Jim Devine who are accused under theft laws of illegally claiming almost £60,000 of taxpayers’ money in expenses have employed leading constitutional lawyers to argue that their conduct cannot be tried in a criminal court and that only Parliament can discipline them. 

It is feared that the prosecution case against them could be delayed by months of legal wrangling over whether the MPs are right to assert that their actions are covered by parliamentary privilege.  A source close to the case said: “They will attempt to have their cases thrown out before they come to full jury trial.”

If they want to go down that route which will ultimately cost the country £millions we should do what that great PARLIAMENTARIAN, OLIVER CROMWELL would have done if they are found guilty and STRING THE BASTARDS UP on gibbets outside the PALACE OF WESTMINSTER and let their bodies rot, swinging in the wind, to remind the rest of the THIEVING BASTARDS what the PENALTY IS!  (Or am I being a bit extreme)?

IAN GRAY SAYS BROWN MUST GO!

Labour man Ian Gray says"Brown must go now".  In an outburst he also added "the Westminster party are dragging Scottish Labour down with them.  Darling and Brown don't seem to HAVE A CLUE what they are doing to get us out of the RECESSION THAT THEY CAUSED and we are the last in the G20 to still be in a recession.  The Labour MSPs in Holyrood are PULLING THEIR HAIR OUT in frustration at just how inept LABOUR IN WESTMINSTER seem to be.  Don't even talk to me about BOB AINSWORTH and  the way we are running the operation in AFGHANISTAN.  Their chances of getting elected at the next GE are next to nothing.  At the next HOLYROOD ELECTION and the G.E., I'm definitely voting for Alex Salmond and the SNP.
