CATHOLIC JESUIT ORDER PAYS OUT TO ABUSE VICTIMS-WHERE DID THE MONEY COME FROM?

A US Jesuit order has agreed to pay $166 million (£103 million) to compensate nearly 500 victims of decades-long "horrific" sexual and psychological abuse by priests in five US states, lawyers said on Friday.
Most of those abused by priests from the Oregon Province were American Indians at mission schools on Indian reservations, (WHITE MAN SUCK WITH FORKED TONGUE? Ed) The US Northwest chapter of the Rome-based Society of Jesus agreed to the payout – which lawyers said is the biggest by a religious organisation in the United States.

Fair enough, I say.  They deserve all they get.  I work out that they will get on average just over £200k each.  But the question that springs to my mind is, where the fuck did a small part of the Catholic Church get that sort of money?  I doubt, very much, if an insurance company is paying it out.  Those bastards will wriggle out of anything from a suicide victim to an overflowing bath causing water to come through the roof.

So if all these Catholics, my deceased In-Laws amongst them, are giving all this money to the Catholic Church for them to do good works, why do they still have this sort of money?  Why has it not been paid out to some needy African persons or some twat in South America whose tribe was systematically wiped out by the Conquistadores and their Jesuit Priests.

The truth is of course, that faith is personal, but religion is a business and the Catholic Church is the most successful there is at fleecing it's faithful followers.

Are Celtic FC and their fans paranoid?  My mate, a big Celtic fan, excitedly sent me the above picture as evidence of a referees' bias against Celtic and presumably, for, Rangers FC, the other half of the 'Old Firm'.  We've just had a referees' strike in Scotland caused mainly by the insistence of the Celtic Manager, Neil Lennon, an Irish fuckwit and John Reid, the Celtic Chairman and former Labour bruiser at Westminster, who should know better, that Scottish referees are against Celtic and the decisions don't go their way for that reason.  They should try supporting one of the smaller Scottish teams, trying to get a decision at Celtic Park.

Now, we come to the paranoia.  The above picture is getting on for 40 years old.  Tiny Wharton, the referee, has only stopped wearing the black blazer that he used to referee games in and slimmed down at the insistence of the SFA, FFS.

Are referees in Scotland anti-Celtic?  No, would be my answer to that.  There will be Catholic referees as well as other faiths and maybe if some of the paranoia was aimed at the Catholic Church in Scotland's insistence on separate schools for Catholic children and kids were not split up into two faiths when they were five, maybe any perceived anti-Catholic bias wouldn't exist.

But of course, that wouldn't suit the Catholic Church, because separate schools are just a kid's first steps into paying into the Catholic Church business, which if they can get a stupid enough adherent, will continue until they're laid to rest.  The same applies to the other Churches as well, in my opinion, just in case I'm accused of any anti-Catholic/Celtic bias!

SHOULD RELIGIONS DICTATE THE LAWS OF OUR COUNTRY?

The Pope will warn Britain of the dangers of pursuing equality at the expense of Christians' religious freedom during his visit this week.  He is expected to highlight the importance of allowing Christians to follow their beliefs without fear of censure, in a speech to political and religious leaders.
His message will be seen as a criticism of the last government's introduction of equality laws which have resulted in Christians losing their job or facing disciplinary action for wearing a crucifix at work or sharing their religious views.  The Pope – making the first visit to Britain by a pontiff for 28 years – will make it clear he believes that Christians and people of other faiths should not lose their freedom at the expense of a secular state's emphasis on equality.  The speech on civil society is also likely to reflect on controversies over different attitudes to homosexuality and abortion.

Although I am not a religious person, I would agree with many of the Catholic Church's ideas.  I also would agree with some of the Muslim Religions ideas as well.  But as a citizen of Britain, whose law should you follow?  Some Muslims say that we should introduce Sharia law, but in my opinion although we are not yet a Muslim country, although in some areas you wouldn't know, that's a non-starter.  The Catholic Church and  the Church of England are similar in many ways, but the Church of Scotland is very different to both as it adheres more to it's Calvinist beginnings and the Pope would do well to remember that when he talks about Christians!  So do we follow different laws and guidelines in different parts of the UK, depending which Church is dominant?  Or do we just follow the law of the country, blindly and without recourse to our conscience and beliefs?  Jewish people can always move to Israel if they don't like the laws of the UK and Muslims could move to an Islamic country.  But, where would a Christian go? 

It just shows you how much our culture has been altered over the last hundred years or so, by immigration.

VATICAN 'FORGIVES' BEATLES FOR JESUS REMARK-NOT BEFORE TIME!

At the height of their fame The Beatles enraged the Roman Catholic Church by famously declaring they were bigger than Jesus.
Their enthusiastic pursuit of the sex, drugs and rock and roll lifestyle also did little to convince the Vatican they were anything other than a thoroughly bad influence.  But now in a move sanctioned by Pope Benedict XVI, the Catholic Church has offered the Fab Four its official seal of approval, forgiving them their various excesses and even lauding them as a “precious jewel”.

I would fucking think so, it's about time!  I think with all the problems THE VATICAN have, with numbers as high as 20% of all PRIESTS BEING CHILD ABUSERS, A LITTLE HUMILITY WOULDN'T GO AMMISS!   BTW, why do the CATHOLIC CHURCH always think they represent all CHRISTIANS.  What about the millions of CHRISTIANS WHO ARE NOT CATHOLIC.

Now the Vatican has forgiven them, wait till you see the ANTI-SMOKING LOBBY going after PAUL for having a FAG IN HIS HAND!

Roman Catholic couples are being encouraged to pray together before they have sex. A book published by a prominent Church group invites those setting out on married life to recite the specially-composed Prayer Before Making Love.
It is aimed at 'purifying their intentions' so that the act is not about selfishness or hedonism.
