TOO MANY IMMIGRANTS IN THE UK?

Seven in 10 Britons believe there are too many immigrants in the country, an Ipsos Mori poll showed.

Three in four agreed that immigration has placed too much pressure on public services while three in five agreed that it had made it harder for Britons to get jobs.

Just one in four thought immigration had been good for the economy, the survey of 1,000 people showed.

I don't think there has been too much immigration into the UK, I think it's been the wrong immigrants.

Let me explain what I mean.  Immigrants from the third world, i.e. outside of  Europe, have very little compunction to integrate and adopt the host culture of the UK.  Many are black and whilst this shouldn't make a difference, most of the population of the UK is not.  Many are devoutly Muslim, which is different to the 'Christian' religion of this country.  Their experiences and customs are different to ours.  What tends to happen therefore is that they end up in enclaves all over the country.  Places like Bradford and Blackburn are testimony to that.  In Glasgow, the poorer Asian immigrants congregate around the Allison Street area, until they earn serious money and then they move out to the 'South-Side'.

Left-wingers will tell me, they bring employment.  Er, no!  They tend to employ other Asians who are married off to various family members.  I have experience of some elderly women who have been here for 40 years and can speak no more than six words of English.  

The other argument we hear is that there has been immigration into Scotland for a thousand years.  Well, yes, but from Europe, where the people tend to have a similar culture to us.  Where have you been in Europe that feels distinctly different from the UK, apart from the obvious differences like language.  There is a current case before the courts of a woman who is being barred from bringing her husband over from India, because he comes from a small village, (a cousin) and can't speak English.  She says the ruling is against her human rights.  Well, IMO, it's against our human rights to let her husband in, if he doesn't want to integrate in this country.  She could always go over and join him in India!

As some of you know, I am hoping to emigrate to Spain at some point, (thanks anonymous, it will be good riddance).  Now I don't know whether or not it will work out.  But, I do know one thing it won't be because I'm not willing to integrate into Spanish society.  I'm brushing up my Spanish which I learnt some years ago and fully expect to take part in Spanish traditions, like fiestas.  I don't agree totally with bull fighting, but that's got fuck all to do with me, as is the case with the Roman Catholic religion which I fundamentally disagree with because I don't like any religion.  But, religion is in many ways the thing that makes Spain such an attractive country, so my lips will be sealed!

For too long in this country, immigration has been one of the 'elephants in the room'.  It's time we brought it out in the open and at least discussed it without us being labelled as 'racists' for doing so.

Nearly nine out of ten jobs created under Labour went to foreign-born workers, astonishing figures revealed last night. 

Official statistics showed the vast majority of the rise in the employment total under the last Government was accounted for by workers born abroad. 

Total numbers of those in work went up by two million during 13 years of Labour. But of those jobs, 1.8 million individuals were classed as ‘non-UK born’. 

Just a quarter of a million declared themselves to be born in the UK.

DO SOME IMMIGRANTS HAVE THE CORRECT INTELLECT TO COME HERE?

An 11 year old Albino child was grabbed in Swaziland, shot, dragged away and later found beheaded.
Earlier this year, another 11-year-old albino child was killed close to the same spot in Swaziland and her hand was removed.Police believe both children may have been targeted because of a belief by witch doctors that the blood and body parts of albinos - who lack pigment in their eyes, hair and skin - can bring good luck and fortune when used in potions.

A horrifying video of a crowd watching a mob beat two teenage brothers to death has sparked mass demonstrations in Pakistan.
The video, broadcast on Pakistani news channels, shows a lynch mob taking turns to savagely beat the two boys with sticks, drawing blood from them before dragging and hanging their dead bodies from a nearby pole.  But perhaps just as shocking is that none of the dozens of people and police watching tried to stop the vicious attack.
The News, an English-language daily newspaper, wrote: 'Is this what we are? Savages? So utterly bereft of a speck of humanity that a crowd of ordinary men are passive spectators to public murder?'

These are just two different examples from differing parts of the World.  But, this sort of behaviour is prevalent in many parts of the world and I suppose I could have included stories from Albania, Somalia and many Arab states.  So surely we must pose the questions, do we want immigrants from these countries where human life is held in such low esteem?  When I posed a similar question a few posts back, I had people telling me that Scottish society has had many immigrants over the years, which had formed Scotland as it is today.  Fair enough.  Most of the people we are talking about embraced the Scottish culture.  But is Western society now so sophisticated that people who would behead an albino kid or lynch two teenage boys on their way to play cricket, don't have the right to join it until their countries place a higher value on human life?  I asked last post, is there any country, that's not European, that  has added anything to civilisation, in the last 1000 years?  I'm still waiting for an answer!

A WEE JOKE!

A Somali arrives in Glasgow as a new immigrant to Scotland . He stops the first person he sees walking down the street and says ... 'Thank you Mr. Scotsman for letting me in this country, giving me housing, money for food, free medical care, free education and no taxes!'
The passerby says, 'You are mistaken, I am Pakistani.'

The man goes on and encounters another passerby. ' Thank you for having such a beautiful country here in Scotland !'  The person says, 'I not Scottish, I Vietnamese.'


The new arrival walks further, and the next person he sees he stops, shakes his hand and says, 'Thank you for the wonderful Scotland !' That person puts up his hand and says, 'I am from Middle East , I am not Scottish !'


He finally sees a nice lady and asks, 'Are you a Scots ?'  She says , 'No, I am from Africa !'
Puzzled, he asks her, 'Where are all the Scottish people ?'

The African lady checks her watch and says ...'Probably at work'

POLITICIANS who back illegal immigrants determined to stay in the country are undermining public confidence in the system, Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy has claimed.
In a thinly veiled attack on Alex Salmond, Mr Murphy said a "firm but fair" immigration policy was needed to help meet the country's employment needs.


Mr Murphy said: "Public confidence is not helped by some politicians consistently defending the right of  immigrants to stay in the country.  "I make no apology for making the distinction between those who should come to Scotland and those who are here illegally."But Scottish Government source accused Mr Murphy of trying to score cheap political points with his "tawdry" comments.

The only mistake that was made as far as I am concerned WAS LETTING MURPHY'S FAMILY INTO THE COUNTRY IN THE FIRST PLACE!

A RELIGIOUS LEADER TALKS SENSE!

New immigrants coming to Britain should have an understanding of the country's Christian heritage, a former Archbishop of Canterbury said today.

Lord Carey is part of an alliance of leading public figures demanding immigration to be urgently curbed to stop the population hitting 70million and causing ‘serious harm’ to society.

Lord Carey stressed today that he was not calling for a ban on non-Christian immigrants settling in Britain, but warned that if concerns about the level and nature of immigration were not addressed, it simply would play into the hands of the far right British National Party.
'What I think we must call for is an understanding on the part of those who come into our country that they are coming into one which values parliamentary democracy, which is built upon our Christian heritage,' he said.
'They have got to understand our commitment to the English language and espouse it, and they must understand our history.'

For once we find a Religious Leader talking sense.  Nobody, well apart from the NUTJOBS in the BNP want to stop all immigration, but immigrants must understand that while we tolerate MULTI-NATIONALISM we cannot any longer tolerate MULTI-CULTURISM.  Immigrants who wish to come to this country and settle must be prepared to adhere to the HOST CULTURE of the country and accept our morals, laws, history and customs otherwise the far right will have the opportunity to exploit the fractures in our society.

Am I the only one who is not happy with this idea of Labour's to target Scotland for immigrants?


Since the idea was mooted of giving them extra points for settling in our Nation so they can become citizens, there has not been a peep from my fellow bloggers. Are we all too feart to say anything in case we get labelled as racists?


Well most of you know me by now so here goes:


I love my country dearly. I believe we should run our own affairs and to that end I am and have been for some time a member of the SNP. I also believe in the Party's belief that anyone who wants to come to Scotland and integrate in Scottish Society is very welcome.

That's where I have a problem. I'm sorry to say as well that it tends to be with Muslims and Muslim Pakistanis in particular. Before going on, can I say it is not exclusively with this group, but generally it is.

Now I know there are many members of the Muslim Fraternity who integrate and add richly to society. I know however from work experiences there are many who do not and can't even speak English after being here for many years.

I also have in the past worked down south in areas like Bradford and Blackburn and I don't want any of my Scottish cities becoming ghettos like they have become. Fuck me, they're bad enough with us native Scots!

It seems our population is falling.SO THE NEXT TIME YOU AND YOUR ,(HETEROSEXUAL), PARTNER GET INTO SOME SERIOUS SHAGGING. REMEMBER, IT'S FOR YOUR COUNTRY!
