IS AFGHANISTAN'S FRAUDULENT ELECTION ANY WORSE THAN LABOUR'S POSTAL BALLOT FRAUD HERE?

Afghan election officials plan to throw out about one million ballots from last month's parliamentary election – eliminating about 23 per cent of the votes due to fraud, according to a Western official.

An electoral worker sorts ballot boxes at a warehouse of the Afghan Independent Election Commission (IEC) in Kabul
fraud-marred presidential election last year nearly derailed international support for Hamid Karzai, the president, turning this year's poll into a test of whether the government is committed to reforms seen as key for justifying Nato funding and troops.
One of the largest criticisms of the election commission last year was that it abandoned its own fraud-detection measures part way through the process, dumping obviously fraudulent ballots into the tally to help Mr Karzai avoid a run-off with his top challenger. It was only after drawn-out investigations that more than a million ballots were thrown out – the majority of them for Mr Karzai.
I was going to comment that if Karzai cannot at this stage of the game run a 'clean' election, then it is time to get out of Afghanistan.  But how much worse is it in Afghanistan, than in Britain and Scotland in particular, a country which is supposed to be the mother of all democracies.  From Fife to Glasgow to London, Labour IMO have fraudulently counted postal ballots to the point, that if the Returning Officers did not notice the discrepancies they had to be in the employ of Labour.
We are in severe danger in this country of losing any degree of democracy we have left.  Having gone through 13 battering years of a  Marxist, left-wing, pseudo liberal, dominated attack on our civil rights and our freedom of speech, the Coalition's first step after tackling Labour's debt mountain is to tackle the return of civil liberties, or at least let us think they have been restored.

THE REASON WE ARE IN AFGHANISTAN IS OIL AND GAS, AS USUAL!

Why is Afghanistan so important?
A glance at a map and a little knowledge of the region suggest that the real reasons for Western military involvement may be largely hidden.
Afghanistan is adjacent to Middle Eastern countries that are rich in oil and natural gas. And though Afghanistan may have little petroleum itself, it borders both Iran and Turkmenistan, countries with the second and third largest natural gas reserves in the world. (Russia is first.)
Turkmenistan is the country nobody talks about. Its huge reserves of natural gas can only get to market through pipelines.  The U.S. is pushing for "multiple oil and gas export routes." High-level Russian, Chinese and American delegations visit Turkmenistan frequently to discuss energy. The U.S. even has a special envoy for Eurasian energy diplomacy.
Pipelines are important today in the same way that railway building was important in the 19th century. They connect trading partners and influence the regional balance of power. Afghanistan is a strategic piece of real estate in the geopolitical struggle for power and dominance in the region.  Since the 1990s, Washington has promoted a natural gas pipeline south through Afghanistan and the TALIBAN have visited the US on many occassions to discuss it, (see link). The route would pass through Kandahar province.  The proposed pipeline is called TAPI, after the initials of the four participating countries (Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India).  The main player in TAPI, is the American oil giant, UNOCAL, (based in Bush land in Texas, funny that), which has a 54% share.  Afghan President Hamid Karzai worked briefly for UNOCAL, (now part of CHEVRON), when he was studying in the States.  Yes!  He's not just some fucker that's stepped out a tent!
A very big game is underway, with geopolitics intruding everywhere.  With the U.S. surge underway and the British ambassador to Washington predicting a decades-long commitment, it's reasonable to ask: Why are the U.S. and NATO in Afghanistan?  Is it to 'free' the Afghans from the Taliban, (who BTW were 'freedom fighters' when the Russians invaded), or to once more sustain the US's oil and gas supplies?  I know which I believe!

AND OUR TROOPS ARE DYING IN AFGHANISTAN FOR THIS......!

'Dark Lochnagar' can today reveals a property empire in Dubai assembled at a cost of £90 million that is owned or occupied by close relatives and associates of Mr Karzai.
The property holdings emerged as Mr Karzai, who leads one of the world’s poorest and most deprived countries, has struggled to salvage Afghanistan's biggest private bank, Kabul Bank, which bankrolled the purchases.  The centrepiece of the holdings is a portfolio of 14 villas on the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai’s showpiece property development.

We invaded Iraq for America's oil interests, we're in Afghanistan to safeguard a gas pipeline which America wants to build across the country and our young people are dying in their hundreds, to pay for it.  IT'S GOT FUCK ALL TO DO WITH WMD, AL QAEDA OR TALIBAN.  IT'S TO ENRICH POLITICIANS!
When the fuck are the people of this country and America going to waken up?

AT LAST SOMEONE TALKING SENSE ABOUT AFGHANISTAN!

DEFENCE SECRETARY LIAM FOX:

"We have to reset expectations and timelines. NATIONAL SECURITY is the focus now.  We are not a GLOBAL POLICEMAN.
We are not in Afghanistan for the sake of the EDUCATION POLICY in a BROKEN 13TH CENTURY COUNTRY.
We are there so the PEOPLE OF BRITAIN and our GLOBAL INTERESTS ARE NOT THREATENED.

THANK FUCK!  Someone is AT LAST talking some sense about our 'war' in Afghanistan, after we have had to listen to a LOAD OF MEALY MOUTHED, SOCIALIST CLAPTRAP, over the last few years.

KARZAI TO TAKE ON ROAD SIDE BOMBS

AFGHAN TROOPS CELEBRATE LEARNING TO LOAD THEIR RIFLES

President Hamid Karzai has banned a key ingredient in the roadside bombs that have killed hundreds of British, American and NATO soldiers in his country.

The Afghan government  has outlawed the use of ammonium nitrate fertiliser, used by the Taliban in 90 per cent of improvised roadside explosives.  ABOUT TIME TOO!  If he wants to stop roadside bombs why don't he and his CORRUPT GOVERNMENT LIE DOWN ON TOP OF THEM.
