WHY NOT VOTING SNP COULD QUITE LITERALLY BE THE DEATH OF YOU!

As most of you who read this PILE OF SHITE are aware I have been in for a reasonably major operation over the last few days.  As I don't like to bore, (aye that'll be fucking right, ED), just let me say that I HAVE BEEN AMAZED at the level of care and the PROFESSIONALISM shown by all the staff in AYR HOSPITAL.
When I was wheeled down to the one of six operating theatres, my overwhelming feeling was how many people were working there just for little old me.  They all seemed to be going about their individual tasks efficiently and with a sense of purpose and I remember thinking just before I went under, FUCK ME, this must be costing a fortune!
Anyway to cut a long story short, after the operation, (which went well BTW), because of a few probs I have with my heart, I was taken into 'HIGH DEPENDENCY'.  There at all times there was one STAFF NURSE for every two patients.  Next door in INTENSIVE CARE it was one on one.  As you progressed up the levels of care it gradually became one in three and so on.

Anyway to get to the moral of my tale.  If you're ever in Hospital for a serious operation, yes you might think, how much is all this costing?  But, instead you will just be glad that the NHS is there for you and you are being looked after to an extremely high standard.  As they wheel you into the operating theatre, you won't be worrying about how much money is being spent on the ROADS/POLICE/EDUCATION etc., you'll only be thankful that in SCOTLAND we have a SNP GOVERNMENT who has pledged to look after health and stand against THE CUTS OF THE WESTMINSTER PARTIES.  So for your own good, please vote SNP if you can on Thursday, it could quite literally be a LIFE OR DEATH DECISION!

Auch DL, good to see you back at home and pounding the keyboard.

It's true about voting SNP although they still have a great deal to do to get through to the public the issue of infection.

It's all very well blaming staff but the public are as responsible when they refuse to wash their hands on entry and exit. Mind you, we should have the facilities right there for them to see.

Keep up the good work. PS I don't read piles of crap anymore - not since I stopped working for the gastrointestinal department. :)

Makes sense to me DL. Glad that Varangian axe woman I sent round with the grapes and fergusade got you up and running again. :-)

Glad you're no deid , DL .

Well done , that man .

Not so sure about the "Vote SNP or the cute puppy gets it" angle , however .

Good to see you back fighting fit!

The NHS is not value for money. I would much rather spend my National Insurance on my own private health care arrangements.

Welcome back mate. In Canada we have a NHS as well - the brainchild of a Scot. Across the border in the States they have a private system that's so good the Yanks keep trying to sneak across to access our system here. It got so bad they introduced Health Cards that you have to produce to get treatment.

Good to see you out of surgery DL.
You will be good for another 55 years !
Did you see the skull on the leaders debate tonight ? Paid £140K a year and he looks permanently terrified. What a waste of space he is. Oh and talks bollox all the time as usual.
The Rhinestone cowboy ( Glen Campbell ) seemed fair. Probably because the Labour loving weasel knew that his debate would be seen nationally rather than just in our diddy labour loving country as usual.
Sorry but I'm still going for UKIP. I'm not wanting anyone who was in parliament since the expenses scandal to go back in and I've not seen hide nor hair of my SNP MP for the last 5 years and he still hasn't bothered to canvas round here. And his wife is an MSP aswell so they're fuckin loaded and don't need the job anyway.

Rosie, at least in Ayr, you can't blame the staff for infections. I've never seen so much handwashing in my life. In fact I wish I had shares in whoever makes the plastic aprons they wear because they change them from one bed to another even when they're just making them. There are plenty of signs and facilities for visitors to wash their hands, so if they don't it's not the fault of the hospital, although I know you had trouble up in Dundee.

INCOMING!!!! thanks for that. She made a lovely job of the stitches!

Oli, Thanks. I just don't see anyone else in Scotland supporting the health budget which we need unless you're Rantin Rab with his private health.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Rab, I wouldn't argue there could be savings made but I would rather my money went to that than some Insurance company's profits.

Scunnert, IMO a good public health scheme like we have in Britain and Canada is far superior to what they have in mthe States. Your health insurance goes with your job, but what happens if you develop say Diabetes and the company goes bust. You're fucked! You'll never get insurance again. Hopeless.

DL. I just want to be wheeled through into the operating theatre in a country where the staff are Scottish and where we make up all of our own rules. Spending £6Bn just to be in the EU nightmare is a massive waste. Spending £4trillion on the green carbon credits scam is really wasteful. Encouraging immigration is daft with 3 million on UK waiting lists for social housing. Claiming that the world is warming up when Montfords book ' the hockey stick illusion' shows it is all fake is daft.
Alex claiming £400 a month for food is very bad when you consider that parliament was shut during some of his claims and it's almost the same as a months pension. He's getting £65K for leaving politics yet isn't leaving politics. What's that all about ?

Dark Lochnagar said...

UKIPPERS, I'm in full agreement with you on the EU and the global warming pish, as I've stated many times on this blog. Fuck me, I've even got my voting motivations on the side of the post. I
honestly think it's nit picking going on about Salmond and his £400 food bill when other MPs including Murphy are flipping their homes and making fortunes. He does donate his MSP salary to charity and he is after all leaving BRITISH politics and some of the £65k will also be donated to charity. I don't notice any other of the fuckers doing that. I wish you could tell me what restaurant you know where you can get 7 meals for a £100. :-)

UKIP for me said...

DL. The £400 was just an expense he automatically claimed irrespective of what the food costs really were. He was entitled to it so took it without a second thought. A lot of MPs took nothing for food expenses. It is mathematically impossible to have a food bill bang on £400 every month and no reciepts were required so it's obviously just a fill yer boots expense scam.
7 meals for £100 ? Don't forget we fitted him out with a kitchen. Can't he cook beans on toast ? Does he have to eat out 7 nights a week at our expense when we furnish him with a flat and kitchen facilities?
The £65K is meant to help MPs who are retiring to resettle. It's not meant for working First Ministers. Like the food, he's taking it because he is entitled to it ( apart from the bit he's giving to charity which is a state secret he can't divulge to the people who gave him the money ) Oh, and everyone else takes the money so why shouldn't he isn't a good answer but it's the only one he's used so far.
I promise not to mention this boring subject again !

Dark Lochnagar said...

UKIPPERS, for fuck's sake. do you seriously expect the First Minister of Scotland to eat beans on toast? He's not a student. What world are you living in? Now I don't know what you do, but if you work for someone, are you trying to tell me you've never fiddled your expenses even a wee bit. I've worked for myself most of my days, but I remember when I worked for someone who gave me £15 allowance for my evening meal, I had the full amount every night. In fact most nights I had to stick something in the pot because I was over the allowance. I think we might be being a bit sanctimonious like a pair of old biddies clucking away.

Congratulations DL, glad to hear that things went well but thank your lucky stars that you were not in Stafford or other hospitals that became killing stations in pursuit of Labours Targets.

Banned, I know there are big differences around the country. In Scotland the Scottish Parliament is in charge of health and it is first class.
