BRITISH TROOPS WILL DIE TO PAY FOR TRIDENT.

Defence chiefs have been left stunned and angry by the Treasury's refusal to finance the £20 billion, (and BTW that's only the initial cost it could be up to £70 billion), cost of replacing Britain's ageing nuclear deterrent.
George Osborne, the Chancellor, has ruled that the entire cost of the new system must be found from within the day-to-day defence budget.  The ruling has caused disarray within the Ministry of Defence where officials are already struggling to find cost savings of 20 per cent – or £7 billion – from next year's budget.

Britain should accept that it is no longer a warrior race.  We should not be involved in the invasion of some one else's land, in this day and age.  Can anyone explain to me what the fuck we want with an 'independent' nuclear deterrent?  Who the fuck are we going to bomb?  Germany, Italy, Russia, Israel, Iran?  We can't fire the fucking thing unless America agrees, so it's not independent.  We can only get the spare parts from America and there is some doubt that their parts, won't fit our parts.  We'll be in metric and they'll still be feet and inches.  For this we're going to cut back the budget for aircraft and carriers, which make a difference in the field according to forces' spokesmen.  What I fear is that we will lose more of our young people, to pay for this dinosaur.  Cut the budget back to the minimum required to DEFEND BRITAIN FROM INVASION and pay off LABOUR'S DEBT with the money saved.

BRITAIN'S DEBT MOUNTAIN IS COSTING US EACH £65,000

Every man, woman and child in the country is carrying a £65,000 share of state debt, according to the first official breakdown of how much the Government really owes.
The estimate from the Office for National Statistics, (an independent Government department),  puts the real level of the national debt at £4trillion – double the amount calculated by independent analysts.  An average household would have to work for five years to pay off its portion of the vast sum.

Only now do we see Labour's failed legacy.  I hope now their activists will SHUT THE FUCK UP and let the TORIES get on with sorting out the country's finances as ALWAYS HAPPENS AFTER A LABOUR GOVERNMENT has been in office.

As for you SCOTLAND, you should be FUCKING ASHAMED of yourselves for voting Labour!

LABOUR'S £27 BILLION DEBT LEGACY TO SCOTLAND

A BILLION POUNDS IN £100 NOTES YESTERDAY

The legacy of Labour’s use of the Private Finance Initiative is estimated to cost the Scottish Government a total of £27.7 billion from 2010-11 financial year.

The figure was confirmed in a parliamentary answer from SNP Finance Secretary John Swinney.  The SNP has also released figures on the annual repayments (as estimated in 2009) and the level of repayments to be made by local authorities over the next two years.

SNP MSP Kenneth Gibson has branded the £27.7 billion figure a “disgraceful legacy of Labour” with the repayments being made to banks and finance firms at the same time as both Labour and the Tories propose cuts to Scotland’s budget.

“This is the disgraceful £27.7 billion legacy that Labour has left Scotland.  “While the SNP is working hard to put new money into building schools, hospitals, homes and delivering public services Labour’s love of debt sees council’s, the NHS and the Government being stripped of funds to make excessive repayments.

“While the SNP is building public services Labour built debts.

“As we face tighter budgets in coming years as a result of Labour’s mismanagement we will be repaying billions to banks and finance firms to meet Labour’s debt legacy.  "All across Scotland's public sector it is not just Labour's cuts that are affecting public services but Labour's legacy as well.  “PFI repayments are now approaching the same level as Scotland’s annual budget. Labour’s refusal to recognise the problems of PFI and the better deal for taxpayers being delivered by the SNP in Government leaves them in a ludicrous position.”

Whenever you have a Labour Government in power they always leave a mountain of debt after they go.  We can only hope that the Tories in Westminster and the SNP in Holyrood can succeed in getting us back on an even keel.
