WTF HAS IT GOT TO DO WITH US?

Foreign Secretary William Hague has backed military options to oust the Ivory Coast president after he refused to hand over power in recent elections.
Laurent Gbagbo has refused to cede power to rival Alassane Ouattara, recognised by the international community as having won recent elections.

The last time I looked, the Ivory Coast was a former French colony.  The League of African Nations, or whatever they call themselves, and the UN are on the case.  So Mr Hague, can you please tell me, WHAT THE FUCK HAS IT GOT TO DO WITH US?

Politicians who "Back the military option" should be the first to be sent to the front line.

Grandstanding and trying to justify a seat on the UN security council.
Neither of which have anything to do with us the proletariat or even Mr Hague.

Either that or the Tories have simply decided that the Lib Dems have been given too many column inches over Christmas!

I think they worry that there may be meetings in Washington and if they haven't committed troops then they might be left out, and that would diminish them in the eyes of the world...

...Just wait till the cameras of the world are tuned in to the royal wedding, and the strikes and riots that will take place in London at the same time... then they will be diminished big time.

Publes, correct. They're fucking good at sending our deluded troops into another country to poke their noses in something that has got fuck all to do with us.

William, It's about time that it had something to do with us. we delude ourselves that we live in a democracy, which sadly is not the case and has never been so. We have been ruled by the Monarchy and the Establishment for centuries and they just give us a vote to kid us on.

Tris, I wonder if we will invade Iran around about that time. Would I get a bet at William Hills?

DL the democracy blinkers have been off for years. It was only in 2010 that I realised this.
There is no democracy. All we have is tyrannical government of the masses run by civil servants, fronted by politicians for the benefit of the bankers.

Our military isn't capable of invading the Isle of Wight. Cameron is currently reducing it to the point of ineffectiveness so the EU can sail over the horizon with it's 'defence force' to 'save the day'.

All Billy Hague is doing is playing for points and obfuscating the unpleasant truth that someday soon the EU flag will fly from every former British military establishment unless the money markets crash the euro first.

Never thought I'd be on the side of the hedge fund robbers but adversity makes for strange bedfellows.

Nothing like a good quick war to put a Government up a few point in the polls...............

Cameron looking all dewy eyed under a Union Flag few dead soldiers a couple of medals to pin to their chests...

Now that he's in government, Hague has abandoned every real Tory principle he ever had, DL...... oh, wait...... he never actually had any....... it was all a con for sheeple consumption!

Billy, I think the clue may be in the name. It's obviously got plenty of ivory and I'm sure the regulations in trading it can be changed!

Spidey, They're just a front for the Establishment, but I do believe the worm may be about to turn. I was talking to some guys I've known for a few years last night in the kitchen at a party, (where men tend to end up) and the subject got round to our Governance, Bankers, Masons, the Establishment, immigration etc. To my surprise we were all of the same opinion and these weren't guys I would have said had any political convictions he way I have. Maybe we ere all pished, but I don't think so.

Cannon, yes by a few sheetheads with old fashioned single shot weapons and some rusty old hand grenades. Funny, how when they were fighting th Russians, they were heroes fighting for their freedom!

Actaully if I remember right the last time the US went into an African country they got the shit kicked out of them and they had to leave.

Billy, was that not what the film, 'blackhawk down'on something was about, in Liberia? It was probably them that shot it down with friendly fire!

cannon fodder - next please said...

DL. It was in was in Mogadishu , Somalia. The fuzzy wuzzies hit the Black Hawk with an RPG. The US troops had gone into the city to try and arrest a warlord. Starred Ewan McGregor and the other mad lad from 'trainspotting'
I'd never slag off US troops after seeing that film. Brave fuckers. Although the D Day landings should tell us that. Hundreds of thousands of US troops killed trying to go ashore in France while over a million French troops surrenderd in Paris without even firing a single shot. Respect to the Resistance but the Vichy Govt showed the French up for what they were. Filthy Cowards.

Fodder, you're right. But they are not all en masse good troops. My father was in charge of a Royal Navy landing craft at D Day and he told me that they were shiting themselves and shooting down their own planes. But I would agree that the specialist
forces are hard nuts and probably better than ours, who they seem to hold in some contempt, probably because their equipment is shite.
