CLARE SHORT-BLAIR'S A LYING BASTARD!

Tony Blair is a bastard who 'lied' to his Cabinet and misled Parliament over the war in Iraq, Clare Short, the former international development secretary has said.

Giving evidence before the Chilcot Committee into the war, she repeatedly accused the former prime minister of personally “misleading” and “conning” her, and of being “deceitful” with Cabinet, Parliament, and the public.  "He promised me his baby, then he accused me of being an ugly bitch who couldn't get a shag in a sackful of cocks", she screeched!

Miss Short claimed that Mr Blair broke wind repeatedly in Cabinet,  Prescott and Alistair Darling would have competitions to see who could fart the loudest and  she also accused Lord Goldsmith, the former attorney general  of pissing his trousers when Blair gave him a row for not giving his permission for the war in Iraq.  Amongst other revelations, she told the Committee that Jack Straw repeatedly scratched his balls, Bob Ainsworth picked his note and ate it and Gordon Brown was prone to taking out his glass eye, putting on a patch and doing an impression of 'Long John Silver' with a parrot.  (no animals were hurt during the writing of this post).

Blair a lying bastard ? Surely you jest , DL ?

Remember the "New Labour . New Danger" poster in 97 ? Never a truer word spoken and anyone who didn't see it at the time is clearly either a Labour groupie or the sort of fanny who wept openly and threw flowers at Diana's funeral .

Back to your other point - King of Scots and King of Scotland were used pretty much interchangeably in the late medieval/early-modern period .

I suspect that Rex Scottorum is quite early and analogous with the Rex Anglorum title seen in the Bayeaux Tapestry .

That said , I don't think anyone needs to tell HM how to treat Scotland and the Scots .

Shades of Christine Grahame , there , I'm afraid . Not as mad , obviously .

Oli, I remember that poster, Christ the Tories should bring that back with Brown's gub all over it. You could put it over the fire to frighten the weans.
No, the Queen's not the worst. I quite like Princress Anne, although obviously not in a sexual way. I wouldn't mind her succeeding the Queen in Scotland. That poll I did on who people wanted as head of state after independence a few weeks ago voted for Sean Connery. It's only for ceremonial occasions anyway, so what does it matter.

I admired Clare Short today. She only had one piece of paper in front of her and all she said came naturally and I think honestly, rather than most of the others constantly reading from prepared notes.

Rosie, I also admire Clare Short. I don't like her politics but you can admire her for being an conviction politician unlike most of them who bend whatever way the wind is blowing.

Spidey, it's just a pity, Blair wasn't there at the same time giving evidence, that would have been a great spat.

I like what she said but I don't like her politics.
Could do with a damn good wash too.
