NICK GRIFFIN ON QUESTION TIME

Nick Griffin was booed, jeered and mocked by a hostile television audience on the BBC's Question Time last night.
But the British National Party leader's priceless air time still left the Corporation facing accusations of 'publicity-seeking' naivety.
Senior Labour figures warned of racist attacks in the coming days, leaving the BBC with 'blood on its hands'.
THAT'S THE MAIL'S VIEW.
What do I think? I know most of you don't give a monkey's chuff, but here goes!
Well first I believe the BBC did it's usual stitch up job. The audience were from West London, where naturally they are multi-racial and I have never seen so many skull caps and coloured people in the audience in many years of watching Question Time.
The Panel consisted of two people of Jewish extraction, a Muslim Woman and a black American "intellectual". They obviously thought it was their duty to attack the BNP policies instead of answering the questions, in particular Jack Straw who tried to take over the show and whose party, the Labour party, are to blame for the BNP's rise to prominence.
Nick Griffin, particularly at the beginning looked nervous and shifty when questioned by members of the audience. He was however in my opinion, not put under the spotlight enough so that his policies could be scrutinised and this was the fault of Dimbleby.
Towards the end of the programme he improved and a number of the other panelists were unable to answer his questions on immigration, particularly Straw and this will resonate in his BNP heartland which is not West London but the North of England.
How did Nick Griffin and the BNP come out of it? Well I think in the areas in which they will get votes, they will get more votes because the management of the programme was very poor and will go against the British Peoples' inert feeling of fairness to the extent that he looked bullied and no-one likes a bully!

Yep, pretty much my view too. They could have pinned the BNP to the wall over their economic policies, but instead they went at Griffin like a baying mob, played right into their hands, truly a missed opportunity.

Quiet_Man, it was amazing reading the texts on interactive, they differed completely from the studio hanging audience.

Good point DL, their votes would never come from the luvvies and multi-cultis in the audience. I kinda wish them well in their heartlands just for the possibility of them getting a couple of MPs to share the Opposition benches with Labour next term, wouldn't that be fun.

We all seem to be saying pretty much the same thing, DL. They blew it big time.

A hostile panel - a hostile audience - a thousand or so outside baying for blood - and let the attack begin. An ambush pure and simple. Griffin was rarely given the opportunity to respond in full as he was interrupted every time.

The black American chick came across as a total eejit - to paraphrase - "indigenous Britons were the Neanderthals?" - and she's a head hied yin at the British Museum?

I thought Griffin came across a a buffoon but folks will forgive him this due to his vile treatment.

The rest came across as "politicians" and wouldn't get my vote.

Great stuff, I think the show was far to one sided and okay Nick Griffin is a weird racist but if the beeb are inviting him on to the show then they should give him the same amount of questioning as the others.

The whole program was about the BNP,I wanted to hear Nicks views on other areas to see how the audience would react but no it was all to negative and a bit of a balls up.

Although i agreed with the BBC to let the guy on, after watching the show the BBC have done themselves a lot of damage.

Your right though, no matter how disgusting the victim, no one likes bullies.

Two things DL.

London is NOT England.

GGT is not British.

Banned. They obviously have a core vote out there because none of the main parties have adequate policies on immigration and let's be clear here we are talking about muslims who refuse or are not able to integrate. It's alright for us in Scotland being all PC about immigrants when on the whole we don't have the same problems as in England.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Spider. I agree, they did blow it. They had the chance to turn the spotlight on Griffin and his policies and all we could hear was that fucking buffoon Straw talking a load of pish.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Spooks. That's certainly the way it came across to me and others. He wasn't given enough rope to hang himself. Dimbleby never once looked at him directly and that shows either loathing or fear and as a result I feel he handled the programme very badly.

Incoming !!!!! I know London is not England and I that was the point that I was trying obviously unsuccessfully to make. i.e. that Griffin would pick up votes in his heartlands in Yorkshire and the North of England where there are more immigrant enclaves or to use an American word ghettos, than in the culturally diverse West London. Sorry I don't get the reference to GGT not being English?

It wasn't well done at all. I agree with AMW, there should have been questions on other topics. It should have been a normal QT. That was the point the BBC made when they said that this man's party had been elected by English (they said British, but it is English)people, they had every right to be on the BBC.

Fair enough. Why couldn't there have been questions on the news that we are still in recession, or the problems with the children's service in Cornwall for example. (Two random items which made the news yesterday.)

It became a Nick Griffin special. I hate this man's party and its policies and its whole basis for existing with such passion, but if he's entitled to be there because he's elected like any other politician, let's treat him like any other politician (however that is).

Spot on.. I think the BBC let themselves down badly and David was inept.

Totally biased audience and panel. The whole mix was in there. Gays, Lesbians, Blacks, Asians, African Americans jews with multi coloured skull caps etc . Nick Griffen should have realised early on that his real audience was the UK and not the studio. Aim for the wider audience. Focused more on why Labour were hugging and kissing Gaddaffi and murdering hundreds of thousands of muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. Griffen has never bombed muslims as far as I know.
And his bit about people feeling that two men kissing in public was ' creepy ' was true but a totally pointless thing to say in an audience full of luvvies. It only gave that lesbian an excellent soundbite to fire back at him.

That was a great summing up, DL. I couldn't bring myself to watch it, so it's good to read that it pretty much played out as everybody expected it to.

Kind of agree with you. Rather than the normal format, it appeared to be Question Time, The BNP Special, which i had mentioned on my blog.

I think that all the main parties are to blame for the rise in the BNP. This is what happens when the big parties more and more chase the swing seat vote and pretty much ignore everyone else, it has happened here (in Scotland) with the rise of the SNP and the rise and fall of the SSP.

DL got your point. My point is that London belongs to an entirely different nation and its loyalties are alien to us. BNP or no BNP.

Indeed London is a parasite on the English and despite the phukkwittery inherent in the BNP case that single truth must always be occluded because if that were realised there would indeed be trouble. Hence the BNP are a bunch of goons to disguise that fact.

All the other panelists were representing an internationalist agenda totally alien to most others living in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Indeed I would say that it is LONDON that is driving the split of the union.

GGT Goebbels Gobshite Towers.

Labour decided to open the floodgates to immigrants and make us multicultural to spite the right. Not for any other reason. According to a former Liebour advisor.

Tris, As I asaid they should have given hime nough rope to hang himself. With the attacks from the start it became the let's get Nick show. I can hear what that fuckwit Straw says anytime. At the beginning every time Griffin opened his mouth he put his foot in it. I don't know if Dimbleby was told to handle him like that or not, but he didn't do himself or the programme any favours.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Spooks, the whole show was handled badly from start to finish and now they've given him the chance to protest and keep the thing running. He will obviously want to get on again if the complaint is upheld which in my view it should be. I would be livid if it was a SNP panellist. Please link me anytime but don't encourage that twat Niko.

Baron Martin, I don't know if you were interactive and got the text comments, but they were much more representative of the British people in my opinion.

Yor dead right, I'm sorry but the problem in my estimation to all minorites are the radical ones. Whether it be radical muslims, 70 st and proud fat guys or homosexuals who feel it is their right to kiss in the street and I'm not talking a continental peck here but a full blown snog. I too find it distasteful which is probably the word that Griffin should have used instead of creepy.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Gigits, yes it has. It's worth watching, get it on the Iplayer thingy if you have an hour or so to spare.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Allan, I think I go along with most of what you say apart from the SNP. They have been a significant force in Scottish politics for over 90 years and certainly for 50 years. I remember when I was about 12 and my father who was a Tory through and through but also a proud Scot let me stay up to watch Winnie Ewing's election as a MP and that was over 40 years ago. So they have ben a significant force in Scottish politics for some time.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Incoming!!!! I agree with you, London is indeed the ARSEHOLE of the empire as my old father in law would say!

Bonnie, thanks for that link, it's very interesting as is the paper's choice of writer, with his comments about fascist nannies.
