Gordon Brown was told by the country's top civil servant to change his behaviour after claims he had frightened staff with violent outbursts, a new book has claimed.
Extracts printed by the Observer from its journalist Andrew Rawnsley's book, 'Gordon Brown's a Twat', detailed a series of alleged furious outbursts that left staff fearing violence. It suggested that Sir Gus O'Donnell was so concerned at reports he received that he investigated before delivering a "pep talk" to the PM and a warning to calm down. "This is no way to get things done, if you don't shut the fuck up and stop scaring staff, I will have you arrested" the book records the civil servant telling him. He also told him that he was a 'SCOTCH ARSEHOLE', A 'PRICK' AND A 'WALKING DISASTER AREA'. He told him as well that he was 'INCOMPETENT', 'THICK AS FUCKING MINCE' and supported a 'SHITE FOOTBALL TEAM'.
