ARGENTINA TO HAVE ANOTHER GO OVER FALKLANDS?

Argentina protested to the UK last night over plans by a British company to begin offshore oil exploration in the disputed Falkland Islands.
Desire Petroleum is about to start exploration drilling off the coast of the remote South Atlantic archipelago. Their timetable is unclear.

'What they're doing is illegitimate .. it's a violation of our sovereignty, (FUCK OFF-ED)' Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana told reporters after meeting a senior British Embassy official.  'We will do everything necessary to defend and preserve our rights,' he added.  Argentina's Foreign Ministry said in a statement it 'strongly rejects the United Kingdom's intention to authorize energy exploration and production in part of Argentina's continental platform.'

Argentina's Foreign Minister is talking BOLLOCKS.  Quite plainly the reason we fought the FALKLANDS WAR where there were over a THOUSAND troops killed was because of the MINERAL RIGHTS.  That war made Iraq and Afghanistan look like a picnic.  There was no announcing the names of the dead before PMQs like there is now.  They wouldn't have had time to go through them all.
 
Buy what would happen if ARGENTINA invaded the FALKLANDS TOMORROW.  What would Jonah McSnot, the World's favourite son do?  Would he send troops and if so what troops?  Have we even got any ships left?  Is there an Aircraft carrier?  Would America and the Nobel Peace Prize Winner support Britain or Argentina. You know them where there's OIL INVOLVED!   Would the EU and in particular SPAIN support BRITAIN?  Where would Brown get the money from, we're bankrupt.  Would we have to donate our precious metal to the state for melting down?  Would they melt down metal fences for armaments?  Would that ARGENTINIAN RESTAURANT IN GLASGOW where you get an amazing steak have to shut down?

NOW THE TRUTH ABOUT MEGRAHI'S RELEASE IS MADE CLEAR!

Gordon Brown was under fresh pressure last night after shocking claims by Libya that the release of the Lockerbie bomber was linked explicitly to trade deals benefiting Britain.


Colonel Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam said the case of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi was discussed at every meeting between the then Prime Minister Tony Blair and the Libyan leader.

The trade claim will intensify demands for Mr Brown to come clean about exactly what contacts Britain had with the former pariah state before Megrahi was freed on compassionate grounds.


Speaking on Libyan television, Colonel Gaddafi's son said Mr Blair raised the Megrahi case repeatedly to smooth the way for British firms to tap into Libya's energy reserves. He told the Al Mutawassit channel: 'In all commercial contracts, for oil and gas with Britain, (Megrahi) was always on the negotiating table.'


Mr Gaddafi, who discussed the case with Business Secretary Lord Mandelson when they met in Corfu just weeks ago, hailed Megrahi's the release as a 'victory' for all Libyans.
