SUSAN ATKINS SLEEPS THROUGH HER COURT ORDEALIn complete contrast to the recent release of terminally ill Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset Ali Mohamed Al Megrahi, dying 'Manson Family' member Susan Atkins has been denied parole for the 18th time.
Atkins was convicted nearly four decades ago for her part in the notorious Manson murders where five people, including that of heavily pregnant actress Sharon Tate, the wife of filmmaker Roman Polanski, were brutally killed.
The 61-year-old, who suffers from brain cancer and, according to her lawyer, is also paralysed over much of her body, had to be wheeled into the make-shift courtroom at the Central California Women's prison where she is being held, on a movable bed.
