AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO HATES WARNING SIGNS?

Warning signs.  Don't you fucking hate them?  I don't even mean like the one above which I got from a good wee site, HERE No, like the one for some pish beer that you see when the football is on, I think it's Heineken, where the 'DRINK RESPONSIBLY', logo has got so big it takes up the entire screen.  So let's get this straight.  You are going to encourage me to drink a drug which will in time, harm my health, make me look like a prick and may lead to my arrest by the Police or worse end up in an accident or death and you want to salve your  corporate conscience by telling me, I should drink responsibly?

Just as bad are those stupid gantry signs you get on a motorway.  I was driving yesterday in Glasgow, well when I say driving, a submarine would have been more appropriate with the amount of rain that was falling and the signs were telling me to be aware of, 'surface water'.  How fucking stupid do they think I am.  Some of the others that annoy me are, 'remember, mirror, signal, mirror', 'don't drink and drive', 'wear your seat belt', 'don't indulge in oral sex whilst driving' and the best one, ' remember the chief constable is a fat prick'! Although I believe that person in no longer a member of Strathclyde Police.

HEALTH AND SAFETY PISH!

DRINKS INDUSTRY IGNORES 'NANNY' WARNING FOR BOTTLES

Drinks firms have snubbed a Government call to put health messages and warnings for pregnant women on their bottles.

A leaked official report reveals that just one in ten bottles and cans carry the health messages recommended by the Department of Health two years ago.  The most controversial element was a call to include a warning to women who were trying for a baby or already pregnant.  Drinks firms were advised to use the wording: 'Avoid alcohol if pregnant or trying to conceive' or a logo of a pregnant woman with a red line across it.

Quite right too.  The logo looks more like 'FAT SLAGS SHOULDN'T DRINK BEER'  When are people going to be allowed to take responsibility for their own lives without a NANNY STATE telling them what's good for them.  Parents and the education system don't educate the underclass morons in how to live their lives, so does the Government think that sticking a few labels on some beer bottles will make a difference?

HEALTH AND SAFETY "STRIKE" IN 10 PIN BOWLING ALLEYS

It's a peril that only a crack team of health and safety experts could have uncovered.

After two years and £250,000, they found that ten-pin bowling alleys up and down the country could be a 'very dangerous' environment for families.  They concluded that it was too easy for children or teenagers to run down lanes and get trapped in machinery that sets up the pins - even though there was no record of any such accident having happened.

The bizarre Health and Safety Executive report found that members of the public would be at risk if they walked along the 60-foot lanes to knock over pins by hand. Its authors even considered ordering every bowling alley to put barriers across lanes. But they were forced to admit defeat - after realising that bowlers must be able to see what they are aiming at.

They also recommended that all staff wear FUCKING EAR-MUFFS to drown out the noise of the balls hitting the pins and I suppose you could forget to take your fingers out of the ball and get DRAGGED ALONG AFTER IT!

FUCKING RIDICULOUS.  £250,000 for that.  GET A LIFE!

ARE WE OBSESSED WITH HEALTH AND SAFETY?

Hundreds of council workers were duped into taking part in a fake nationwide Health and Safety survey about accidents caused by biscuits. Four councils were so taken in by the official-looking 'British Biscuit Advisory Board' survey they reported having specific policy rules on safe biscuit consumption. One council even claimed to have supervised tea breaks for safety reasons.
However, perhaps we should not be too shocked - as the survey also found that one in five of the general public feel we need more rules and regulations concerning 'safe biscuit consumption'.

A spoof 'workplace biscuit risk assessment test' - written in bureaucratic Health and Safety language - was created and issued to 5,849 council workers across the UK. A total of 813 over-cautious council employees clicked through to the online survey and 437 worried workers actually took the time to complete it.

Research showed the general public is just as Health and Safety obsessed, with an incredible one in five believing there is a need for more rules and regulations concerning safe biscuit consumption.
ARE WE BECOMING OBSESSED WITH HEALTH AND SAFETY? And if so, WHY? Is it because of the culture of now suing for any small thing. The ADVERTISERS tell us we can get a cheque for £5,000 if we have an accident at work, even if it's our fault for going up the wrong ladder! Does nobody just use COMMON-SENSE ANYMORE?
