BEWARE THIS NEW TECHNOLOGY!

Google has unveiled a new mobile phone which will include a built-in payment system that could eventually replace credit cards.
Google boss Eric Schmidt took the stage to kick off the Web 2.0 summit, a technology conference held annually in San Francisco.
Schmidt confirmed that Google has been working on a sophisticated new computer chip and an upgrade of its Android mobile operating system that will include a payment processing tool.

On first view this looks a fabulous idea.  How convenient instead of using a credit card and putting in a pin number, which after all takes 30 seconds, we can use our mobiles to instantly pay for something.

But, when you think about it, is this just a different route to ID cards and human chipping?  Once we can start to use a phone as a credit card, how convenient would it be to have all our information stored on a sim card.  We could maybe even get state mobiles, with all our medical and personal details on it, that we could use to access the NHS, banking, libraries, transport, shopping, etc, etc.

Now what happens if the State or the Electricity Company or your bank, think that you are a criminal, because you haven't paid a parking fine, or have a dispute with your electricity company or your bank, will they just SIMPLY TURN YOUR PHONE OFF, SO YOU HAVE FUCK ALL ACCESS TO ANY SERVICES?

We should think about it carefully, before we all rush to embrace this and if we do, remember in 20 years time, where you heard it first!

CARDIFF CITY COUNCIL BUILD 'CYCLE LANE' EIGHT FEET LONG!

At little more than the length of a single bicycle, the £2,000 road marking has left cyclists in Cardiff bemused.
The feature, thought to be the shortest cycle lane in Britain, has been installed to encourage green transport.  There's lovely!

Just while I'm on the subject of bikes, why is it cyclists can't just go out for a bike ride without looking like a refugee from the fucking 'Tour De France'?  I mean you don't go out for a run in the car dressed like Jensen Button, do you?  You don't go out for a walk dressed like someone from the Olympic Game's 5000m walking race?  So why go out on a bike dressed like a reject from a Lycra shop?  Do you realise how fucking stupid you look?
