I'm just watching the funeral of KIM JONG-IL, and no matter what station you watch it on, the commentators are making snidey comments about the extent of the grief of the North Korean people. Well they look pretty convincing to me. Anyone who stands about in the snow for 3 hours and cry with utter grief is someone who is not too happy at his death.
It's been the same in the so called 'Arab spring'. Whenever we don't like the leader, like in Iran, Syria and Libya, the people are just dying to get rid of their leaders, but in countries like Bahrain, Jordan and Saudia Arabia, the people love their leaders with a great gusto. It's all utter pish. We are fed so much crap by the likes of the BBC and Sky whose reporters are fed shit by the foreign office that after a time they don't try and seek the truth because it is easier to spout out the crud they are given. Only now and again can you actually get some truthful reporting. Organisations like OpenDemocracy and Global Research who publish articles like this, are worth reading at least to get some balance on the MSM rubbish. I urge though of you who don't to have a read at them.

Let's be fair here DL, I'd stand about in the snow for 3hrs at Tony Blairs funeral if for no other reason than to make sure the slimey bastard didn't try to climb back out!!
Budvers, you've got a point there, I hadn't thought about that! Mind you, I wouldn't be crying1
I'm not sure how long the peasants would live if they put up a banner saying 'thank fuck the old tyrant is finally dead'
I'd be crying frae baith gless eens if it was me to tell you the truth. Just to make sure in case the watchers were watching.
This website has some good stories right up your street DL.
Here's a good one about the Israelis that will warm yer old cockles..

Do not adjust your mind DL. There's a fault in reality. The media set the agenda and decide who is good and who is bad etc. They get their agenda from either tptb or their own flawed ideology ( BBC etc). It's called the political version of the Heisenberg effect. What you see isn't real but it's made to look real to move the sheeple in the required direction of thought.
Some good articles here..

I'm struck by the irony which is yesterday's posting lambasting this country's monarch's spouse, and the fact that further postings continue today.
Care to bet in a North Korean citizen would enjoy the same freedom?
"Anyone who stands about in the snow for 3 hours and cry with utter grief is someone who ...." still fears the Secret Police.

I've just been Heisenberged !
After weeks of being told about our youth drinking and fighting and ending up in casualty I looked up at my tv a minute ago and saw kids on hospital trolleys with groups of youths standing about.
More pissed up kids I thought.
No. Turning up the sound I heard it was actually kids giving blood after a call went out for blood donors.
I'll stand in the snow at Thatcher's funeral drinking lots of beer, so as to have a full bladder...
Throbs, interesting articles. I just wish everyone would learn to look through the news instead of believing it, hook, line and sinker.
"If Iran shuts the straights of Hermuz..."
You mean no more cheap crap from the far east, cocoa from Brazil, Chilean merlot, South African avocados, Cheap Polish milk, Czech Cadburys chocolate or cheap Namibian beef?
I'm really failing to see a downside here...
Publes, the problem with them is that they don't now any better, but the MSM is of the belief that they do. That is not the case it is genuine grief. They believe all the shite they are fed because the country is so well 'closed' to foreign influence, unlike the Soviet Union, for instance was. One prominent Russian dissident once said,
"In dictatorships we are more fortunate that you in the West in one respect. We believe nothing of what we read in the newspapers and nothing of what we watch on television, because we know it's propaganda and lies. Unlike you in the West, we've learned to look behind the propaganda and to read between the lines, and unlike you, we know that the real truth is always subversive".
Throbs, I'd rather be Heinekened! At least tat way you'll end up pished.
Budvers, problem is that 40% of the world's oil passes through the straights. How about petrol at £2.50 a litre? How would that affect your life. Could you afford to use your car. What would produce cost if it had to be transported, even something like peas from Lincolnshire or even local deliveries?
I would camp oot all night or for days just to see that auld C**T Thatcher getting burnt or planted
I was a young father who was made redundant twice back then DL.
Thatcher destroyed jobs to pay for tax cuts for her friends in the city.
She is now a drooling vegetable who finds out that her husband is dead every day.
D'you think there's a God DL?
Thatcher's destruction of the UK industrial and manufacturing sector was ideologically driven rather than a sound policy or economic decision. She didn't understand communities and would rather close things down and pay benefits than let industries tick over waiting out the recession. Allowing communities to survive. Most old steel, car, shipbuilding and coal mining communities are now desolate wastelands full of junkies and drunks. She sold off or privatised most of our utilities, defence and manufacturing companies. Mostly owned by foreigners today. Selling off essential utilities like gas, energy and water to foreigners was a scandal.
She was also keen on helping dictators such as Pinochet. The leader who massacred thousands in Chile. Or allowing murderers like those of Yvonne Fletcher to walk out of the Libyan Embassy and go home to a heroes welcome.
Tarters, we all have different recollections!
Conan, you may be right, but I couldn't possible comment. But, I do remember the country was in the shite.
Throbs, OK, I stand corrected, all apart from the Fletcher bit.
DL I visited several countries in the former Communist bloc a few years before it fell and was struck by the way that most people toed the Party Line but made it plain that they knew it was all bollox, even my Intourist minders (pretend guides whose real job was to make sure we did stray).
How debauched must N. Korea be for people to behave in this way and, moreover, it is the fattest and best dressed ones who are the wailiest (no doubt cunts who know which side their bread is buttered).
Banned, mind you there was a million of them in the square and according to the shite we're fed they are all starving. There are some fat starving people there then. Looking at the picture however, they all seem to have bought anoraks from the same fire sale!
"According to the shite we're fed they are all starving.....".
It is possible to be fat and starving. Your body needs fats, protein, minerals and vitamins, which you wont get on a diet of just boiled rice, regardless of the quantity you eat.
Budvers, at least they have a very nice line in jackets.
