Because... it has absolutely bugger all to do with us. Mind the same applies to Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya.

At no point since the Second World War has Britain been under threat of attack let alone attacked so why are over resourced but under supplied forces running around the world getting live fire practice?

Why don't you ask the face-masked older guy to the right of the screen (00:00-00:20) who is clearly directing the children but who bravely pegs it and abandons them once it really kicks off?

IMHO, Londons Metropolitan Police might benefit from lessons in Positive Reponse from the Bahreini Love and Conciliation Service.

Bill, I totally agree. Our army should be used for purely defensive purposes. the days of global conquest were OK at the time, but now everyone has been 'discovered', it's time we packed it in!

Banned, it's the response of the police firing live rounds at their own citizens which is important. You and I both know that if Bahrain wasn't almost an American colony then we would literally, be up in arms.

Because these are our despots and dictators and these protestors are just rioting scum whereas the bastard despots and dictators in Libya etc are killing rioting scum, sorry peaceful protestors, that want to be our friendly slaves and lackeys. Obviously our secret services are not involved in this also so we are not interested.

Looks like tear gas cannisters or baton rounds.

Billy, aye and America has a huge naval base!

Shuggers, you may well be right, but the point is that in Tunisia, Morocco,Libya or fucking outer Mongolia, these people would be freedom fighters. I think it's funny that we are so selective in who we 'help'. What about the oppression of the white man in Zimbabwe, or is that not a fashionable cause or is it because there is no oil?

Too true. Good to see CNN has got it all sorted..

Dumfries, I just read your comment out to my wife to prove I am not the only one with concerns, (she thinks I am), and we're in Dover. French lunch tomorrow!
