Three notorious murderers sentenced to die in jail are demanding their ‘human right’ to be considered for freedom.
In an explosive move, the unelected European Court of Human Rights has agreed to hear the cases, putting Strasbourg on a collision course with the UK Government and enraging victims.
Each killer committed crimes so serious they were handed a ‘whole life’ sentence by the courts.
But Jeremy Bamber, Peter Moore and Douglas Vinter argue these should be subject to ‘regular review’ to prove they have reformed.
They say condemning them to die in jail amounts to ‘inhuman or degrading treatment’ and breaches their right to a fair trial.

These murderers should have been hung. They should recieve no compassion !
Oh leave them alone DL. Everyone has their hobby - yours may be trainspotting or stamp collecting or dressing up in womans clothes etc but if these guys want to kill cereal what harm are they doing.

Banned, yes that seems to be the place to send them, right enough. The only problem is that some bastard is being done for it.
Mr MacAskill, actually if Megrahi had been killed it wouldn't have then turned out to be a problem if he had got cancer. But then again, he was not a serial killer, so hanging wouldn't have applied to him. Simple rule-no confusion!

It's up to a 'greater power' I suppose despite the fact that I'm an atheist and don't actually believe in a 'greater power'. But it sounded good at the time.

As Lord Denning observed, if they'd had hung the Guilford Four, there would be no appeal to fret over.
If only Scottish justice could have kept Al Megrahi alive long enough to hear his appeal, who knows how many could have been strung up?

Niko, by the definition of the word Megrahi was not a serial killer, but a mass murderer. He, if he was guilty which is only believed by a very few, made a single act of murder whereas cunts like Shipman etc did it time after time.

Smokers, a good point. The fucking CIA wouldn't have wanted that for all the shouting their Senators did. There was far too many CIA operatives pulled off that flight for it to be healthy.
