Afghan refugees who have lived in Pakistan for decades are under pressure to go home after the floods destroyed camps that now represent a lucrative opportunity for local property speculators. Some 70,000 refugees are estimated to have lost their homes throughout the northwestern region of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Many of the camps were established 20 or 30 years ago in remote areas but today stand at the edge of growing towns and cities, such as Nowshera and Peshawar, making the sites attractive to property speculators. Khassim Diagne, deputy representative of the UN’s refugee agency, says that unscrupulous developers had been telling refugees that they would not be allowed to return to the land.

Well, in actual fact there is another group who is even more sleekit, (Scottish word), than the Pakistanis and we all know who they are but we've covered them extensively lately, so we'll leave them for another day. Does anyone think that's a RACIST STATEMENT? Let me say at the outset, if you do, I don't give a fuck. All nations have various traits. The Irish and the Poles are stupid. The Scots and people from Yorkshire are mean. The Italians are serial shaggers, but 20 minutes later, you wouldn't know he had been there. Let me tell you if you get shagged by a Scotsman, I can guarantee, you'll remember it for a while! (How do you mean-Mrs D.L.) The Spanish are cruel to animals. The Americans are obese. The English, are well, the English. The trouble is unless you're not English you won't understand what that means!
So it is my assertion that the Pakistanis are cunning, grasping and unscrupulous when it comes to business and money, in my experience. Look at their cricketers. Cricket is almost a religion in Pakistan, yet they would take bribes to influence matches. £100k to bowl some no balls? Where do I sign up?

"Pakistani" does not define a member of a particular race but a citizen of a country, or descendant thereof, so your comment cannot be deemed racist.
I, as you know DL, am English and perfectly content to be so.
Banned, what is a race then? Jews are not a race, because you wouldn't say the Christian Race or the Muslim race, so therefore Jews must be an ideology. So it must be only when we describes whites, blacks, asians or mogoloids. Therefore an 'African' American can't be a race. So what's all the hassle about? I am aware that you are proud to be English and if I wasn't Scots, a much superior nationality then I would be happy to be English! Mind you I quite fancy being a Yank. I would like all that hand over the heart stuff at the National Anthem and their obvious patriotism, but somewhere warm like California or Florida.
As a Yorkshireman, I find your comparison of us to Scotsmen highly offensive.
