THE ANNUAL ORANGE SCUM MARCH IS IN GLASGOW TODAY.

Up to 8,000 marchers are expected to take part in Scotland's largest Orange Parade in Glasgow later.
Police and the Orange Order have warned those attending the event that bigoted behaviour and public drunkenness will not be tolerated, (TRY AND STOP IT)!  The Orange Order said 90 bands from 182 lodges would take part in the parade.

I fucking hate ORANGE MARCHES and the bigotry and hatred showed by the marchers and the TATTOOED SCRUFF that follow them.  This phenomenon is purely an Ulster and West of Scotland occurrence.  Half of the bands will be SCUM from Northern Ireland, who annually march to GET IT UP THE FENIAN BASTARDS.  I abhor the triumphalism and the display of pro-British shite.  In the East of Scotland they have HIBERNIAN/pro IRA marches.  It's time these FUCKWITS were told to fuck off and hold their marches on ST. Kilda, where we can leave the fuckers to kick the shite out of each other and leave the decent people of Scotland in peace.

As a wee postscript.  Twenty five years or so ago my wife used to run a B&B and one night in July when I came home for work she told me she had booked in three men from Northern Ireland and she wasn't too sure about them.  I chapped their door, (they were in the family room), to make sure there was no fucking hanky panky going on, (sorry gay following), and immediately sussed that they would be over for the Orange Walk the next day.  The next morning they came down for breakfast with their anoraks on, hiding their regalia underneath.  The first thing I did was to turn up the heating full, it was a hot July day and by the time I took their breakfast through to them the sweat was running down their faces.  "Are youse alright, boys", I asked.  "Fine, fine was the reply".  Well we were in the kitchen, pishing ourselves laughing and I started to call my wife Theresa in a loud voice and shouted out things like, "did you remember to phone Father Murphy" and similar comments.  Childish I know, but a fucking good laugh.

Aye DL. It's a load of shite and should be consigned to the history books.

At least they are very safety concious; they all wear high visibility sashes when on a main road.

DL here in Barnet noone knows what my lillies are for. If they did twig then they'd be mightily confused. One year I'm slashing them down, the next year they are looking splendid.

They had a march in Perth last week. A 1,000 came across from weegieland. There wasn't any trouble and it boosted the local B&B industry.
Not sure what the point of it was though as we're not into all the religious crap in this area and haven't a clue about the Battle of the Boyne or whatever it was. Most folk looked on bemused.

Rab, in these days of equal rights for fuck knows who, why do we put up with a show of bigotry like this? All this pish about them having the 'right' to walk down the Gervachy Road in Ireland past all the catholic areas for a few of them to go into a church for a service. Pish.

Conan, there would be times they would need it if I was driving. Even the marchers are not so bad, it's the scum who follow them pished oot their brains.

Incoming, how are they this year. I've found that the cold winter has played havoc with my blooms. Or so the wife says, mind you it might just be my age.

Bowlers, exactly what is it all about? Can you imagine a Jacobite march with shouts of "aye fuck you and your King Billy" or similar.

You're right , DL , they are just SOOOO COMMON !

I'll not be out for it , but the BIG walk is just up the road in Wishae next week .

Anyway , I'm surprised you spit out the stuff about "bigotry and hatred" . Normally you don't mind it and you're certainly showing more than a little here .

Or is it that some people show "bigotry and hatred" while you and Fat Eck's embarassing followers display moderation and sweet reason while contemplating the "armed struggle" like you were a couple of weeks ago ?

"I abhor the triumphalism and the display of pro-British shite."

Not exactly displaying the spirit of Voltaire here , are you ?
I don't like it , so it should be banned . At gun point . By black shirted agents of The Party . Hail Eck !

"pro-British shite"?

100% Scottish . 100% British .

Like the B&B story , though . It sounds like a cross between Fawlty Towers and that one off of Chewin The Fat . I think we should all call you Basil from now on . The Yvette Cooper analogy was too troubling .

Oli, you know how it is. Sometimes you've just got to say it the way you see it. At least I've got a chip on both shoulders, I hate the sons of Hibernian or whatever they're called. I also BTW do not believe in anti-English sentiment, (unless it's the WC) and as you well know by now, I only support the SNP because they're the only party touting independence. The armed struggle remark was only a joke as you know, but I would be up for blowing up a few pillar boxes with ER 11, on them, but only because Scotland never had a ER1 and of course meaning no disrespect to the Queen!

DL - couldn't agree more with you on this matter. It's a pity your enlightened views don't seem to extend to your 'gay following'. It's generally considered that homophobic men have 'issues with their own sexuality'. Maybe worth reflecting on DL?

Dark Lochnagar said...

Anonymous, I have a very enthusiastic gay following if you don't mind. I don't mind exploring my femenine side you know. I'm a very 'man of the new century, I'll have you know. Issues with my own sexuality? No, I don't think so. Maybe I am a bit Gay. I've always fancied a threesome with a couple of lesbians. Is that gay?

The Young Oligarch said...

Lesbians are alright as long as they're on video tape , DL .

Judging by Anonymous's comments about "issues with sexuality" , you must be a closet Orangeman , as you clearly have issues with them .

Me ? I'm a closet Marxist , Fenian and Aberdeen supporter , as well as a closet poof .
Impeccable logic , intit ?

The Young Oligarch said...

You're just being depraved , now , DL .

As for your lady wife , she can't be both . It's like being a Nazi Communist , they are incompatible beliefs .

Either that or you're using the word "Fenian" in the inaccurate sense of "RC" , which I would never do .

Dark Lochnagar said...

Oli Pardon me for being so innacurate in my use of the word 'fenian'. I do know it's correct use but she is still a closet Tory BTW. As a matter of fact, so am I, but a fenian, Aberdeen supporter whose no a sheep shagger. You're stretching increduality a wee bit too far now.

The Young Oligarch said...

Aberdeen supporter ?

You've taken that too far .

Dark Lochnagar said...

Sorry, I thought that was an admission, a coming out of the closet moment, two comments ago. Sorry!

I too detest these displays. They do nothing for communities other than cause resentment.

They have one in Dundee usually DL. I remember getting stuck for ages in a traffic jam because they commanded the whole of the street.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Rosie, aye there just a throwback to different times and they shouldn't be tolerated. I don't see why ordinary citizens have to put up with that kind of religious bigotry in this day and age.

I would like to exchange links with your site darklochnagar.blogspot.com
Is this possible?

As an Orangeman and charity fundraiser, i strongly suggest you look at the hisory of the United Kingdom and of the Orange Order. orangeorderscotland.com will show you what we do for the Community including Charity work. No need for all the profanities either.

Im an orangeman , our parades are nothing to do with ' get it right up them ' they are celebrations or memorial to most things british. you only see us from an outside view and some of the people that follow the walks, if you asked them what church they attended they would probably say ibrox. im proud to be scottish and british nothing bigoted about that is there?

If you ban the OO then ban the Unions, Gay Pride, Pipe Band parades, Carnival Days etc etc etc.

If you dont like these events then just look the other way.

The Police should scoop up the pissed up hangers on and jail them and leave the marchers and bands to get on with it.

Its actually a great spectacle if you ignore the neds.

But then again these neds are everywhere in Scottish society.

I know a sure fire way of implimenting a policy whereby the OO would wither on the vine and become irrelevant within a generation.

Educate kids together from the age of five regardless of race colour creed or religion.

Even Bishop Devine agrees.

id have took my jacket off n kicked the fuckin shit out of u ,when we march we do it peacefully not looking for trouble ,and yes i agree some spectators at the side are disgraceful but remember these people arent orange men .they only turn up to get drunk and make a cunt of themselves. this is our history and if we want to celebrate in a protestant country then we do have the right to ..

Having read some of your comments It just goes to show how some people are ignorant to our history & what our forefather laid down there life's for to give us this great country.
I am a very proud Orangman. The Protestant religion I will maintain !

I am a loyalist brought up in Glasgow and was taught the ways of my fore fathers and the respect and honour my fore fathers taught .
I believe things are changing as I have had a few conversations lately with the older generation and they have started tom see changes that can make things better for all,.
And what is on one hand culture and history which has been taught differences in the days gone bye,,,, one thing I do agree with and always will as we did in the Falkland's ,,,,"NO SURRENDER"
