HAVE WE COMPLETELY LOST THE PLOT IN THIS COUNTRY?

A DISABLED CARAVANNER has been fined £40 and given a criminal record for having a SWISS ARMY KNIFE IN HIS CAR!

Full time carer Rodney Knowles kept the knife in his glove compartment of his vehicle.
The 61-year-old, who walks with the aid of a stick, was stopped by police on suspicion of drink driving - he was below the legal limit - but officers found the knife in a pouch in the car's glove box.
The retired maintenance engineer, who has no previous convictions, said: "It was in my glove box in a pouch, along with a torch, first aid kit and waterproofs.  I USED IT TO CUT UP FRUIT ON PICNICS".

Have we really reached the stage in this country, where a pensioner is done for having a Swiss Army Knife in his Car?  What did the THICK POLICE BASTARDS think he was going to do with it?  Become a mass murderer?  Slash some world famous paintings?  Attack the Italian Army?  Become a Terrorist?  FUCK ME!  It's no wonder some of us despair sometimes!

Just outside a pub I use in Hamilton an old woman was getting hassle off of some young thugs , so she phoned the polis . Young lassie polis , 5 foot nothing but decked out in armour , turns up , does nothing about the scum , but takes the old woman's walking stick so she can't hit the little darlings .

The polis used to be on our side , DL , but they're not now .

Too much "diversity awareness" and other Marxist corruption .

The sooner we all realise the police aren't there for us, but are there for 'them' the better.

They are agents of the socialist state.

Knife laws can be summed up as follows; You can carry a folding, non-locking knife with a blade of less than 3 inches in a public place without restriction. Police can't touch you for it, unless you're doing something criminal with it. But, if it's a sheath-knife or if the blade locks (some SAKs have locking blades) then, although you are allowed to carry it in public, you must have "lawful authority or reasonable excuse". Cars count as a "public place", but oing camping is a "reasonable excuse"
If his Swiss Army Knife was non-locking and had a sub-3 inch blade, (as most of them do) then the police had no right to take action unless they suspected a crime. If it was a locking type, the owner has to prove "reasonable excuse".
He didn't do this - he admitted carrying an offensive weapon instead of pleading a reasonable excuse; this is where he went wrong, and why he was fined, and had his property stolen by the State.
My guess is that a)it was a "lock knife" and b) he wasn't camping the time and had (or was told he had) no "reasonable excuse"
It's an example of State interference in the lives of peaceful people, but the lesson is clear; sub-3 inch non-locking knives won't get you a fine but anything else will, even if you're old and an "ordinary" bloke. Sad, but there it is.

Oli, gone are the days unfortunately when the polis sergeant would give you a kick up the arse and when you went home to tell your father, he would give you an arse warming for good measure. I'll tell you, it didn't happen again. Now they would be wanting to sue the police.

Scunnert, I've asked before, but can you not get me into Canada? Is there a good NHS?

Rab, you're right. The police no longer protect the law abiding citizen. My in-laws have been bothered by their next door neighbour for about 4 years, knocking through the wall at all times of night and accusing them of making a noise. I phoned the fucker up after my wife and I had argued about it one more time to tell him what I would do to him if it didn't stop. The next thing the police are at my door threatening to get my phone records as if I was the criminal. Worse still is that we've repoerted this fucker about 20 times to them and they have the logs and done fuck all.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Richard, welcome and thanks for that. The question has to be asked, why were they searching his glove compartment anyway? If he was stopped for suspected drunk driving then presumably he had passed the breathalyser. If so, what gives them the right to search his car. It's totally wrong. You see his picture, does he look like a drugs runner. Maybe they thought the dandruff on his collar was coke!

If Ian 'Elmer Fudd' Greyman had his way he'd lock the guy up for 6 months. Did you see the fuckwit on Scottish Questions today ? Labour did fuck all about knife crime but now Elmer is a fuckin expert. I think Elmer is actually the skull murphy with cotton wool squeezed into his gums. You never see both of the weasels together.

Thanks for the welcome. From what I've seen, they have to have "reasonable articulable suspicion" to search you or your property. We have rights, but most people don't know what they are, or how to stand their ground. Freeman Blogs, and people like the Antiterrorist have good advice for dealing honourably with the police. It's up to us to get clued-up and know our inalienable rights under Common Law, which constables take an oath to uphold. The gent wasn't a Ned about to do a bit of trimmin' but to the box-tickers a knife is a knife.
According to the AntiTerrorist, he would say "Bring forth the injured party, so that I may make recompense, and remember Sir, (to the magistrate) you are on oath!" This following a declaration to the court that you are entering on the understanding that you won't waive your common-law rights at any time. No harm or loss to others equals no crime under common law, and the magistrate swears an oath to uphold Common Law. But best to avoid giving the Police an excuse, and just have a small "legal" knife.

Iwackies, Hi. I thought old Elmer has been taking acting lessons beacuse he gets better each week. Mind you that's from a base of worse than fucking hopeless, so that's not all that impressive. Of course you can't lock every twat that carries a knife. It used to be quite common when I was a lad to have a penknife, but you weren't going to gib someone with it.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Richard, those are valuable comments, but would they also apply in Scotland where we have a different law? I'm presuming you're English?

Dark Lochnagar said...

S.B.S. Welcome. It's been nice talking to you because if you don't get that ferocious weapon out your car, you are likely to get about 35 years in the clinky. Mind you, you'll still be able to surf 20 hours a day!

Dark Lochnagar said...

Honourable Fred, I saw that story and I nearly posted it. Fucking unbelievable. what is this country coming to?

richard said...

Mr D.L, the knife laws are applicable throughout the UK at present; as regards common law and standing in court, people need to check it out via Freeman groups (there are Scottish, Irish and English web sites. All parts of Britain and Ireland are Common-Law juristictions) The Antiterrorist (on youtube) has some videos dealing with these subjects. Captain Ranty and FMOTL have good info, ie. the hows and whys of Notarised Affidavits, by which you can lawfully withdraw your consent to abide by Statutes.

The Dibble were probably gutted
he wasn't steaming drunk while driving, target lost & revenue down.
So they went rummaging till they found something.
Ive had it with the cunts a few times as I drive a nice car in a not so nice area they think i'm a drugdealer or something, in fact I think i'm the only bloke round here who isn't so its their time wasted not mine makes me laugh every time.

The Boggart said...

As for trouble with neighbours or the scum best thing to do is nip it in the bud quick if possible.

I knocked a couple of the little cunts out in front of their mates a couple of years back (they were 17/18yr olds), luckily the neighbours would't grass as the little wankers were always winding them up as well. sorted.
Now none of the scummy tossers will come near us.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Richard, Thanks I'll have a shufty at that. D.L. will do, the Mr is nor required! We're all mates on this blog although we fall out over certain issues, no-one holds a grudge, I think.

DL - the health system here is universal - the private sector is not allowed. The Canadian health system was the brainchild of a Scot - Tommy Douglas - who was voted the "Greatest Canadian Ever" in a nationwide pol: http://www.cbc.ca/greatest/

You'll notice there are three Scots and one half Scot half French in the top ten!!! No bad ataw for a wee country eh?

Unfortunately you are the wrong colour. These days they prefer to source immigrants from warmer climates. However, you could try becoming an asylum seeker - many from the EU do and the Canuks are not sure what to do with them. They're mostly Germans, Czechs, Hungarians, and Romanians, although my sister has told me about some English folks that she got kicked out of the country:0) - oh Americans as well:o(

It's a funny old world!

Dark Lochnagar said...

Bogey, it can be a fucking pain getting stopped all the time though. As you say they are just looking for an excuse. they stopped me the other day because I had my fog lights on in patchy fog when there wasn't any. Bastards. Always best to batter a bully, I have alays found like you.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Scunnert, I speak a bit of Spanish, would that do. I could say I was a Chilean or something! You would think they would let Scots in anyway, it's practically our country what with the Scottish diaspora.

scunnert said...

"it's practically our country" Aye - we built the fucking place and as soon as we get it nice and comfy they gie it away! Erses.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Scunnert, there could be a mass migration soon from the UK if the fucker gets in again, keep me a place!

Richard is spot on, "he admitted carrying an offensive weapon instead of pleading a reasonable excuse". Plod picked on the right chap this time, persuaded him he was guilty of a crime when he probably was not. they tried thatr on me some thirty yers ago, luckily my lawyer told me otherwise.

The onus of proof on having an 'offensive weapon' revolves around the circumstances; having a heavy wrench in a public place while reparing your car is fine, having it at a football match is not.

Dark Lochnagar said...

Banned, yes Richard obviously knows what he is talking about, which is why I am wondering what he's doing on here, very welcome though he is!
