WHAT I THINK OF JIM MURPHY!

Scottish Secretary, Jim Murphy, (the scrotum on the right, sitting next to the most INEPT politician on the planet, Labour Leader Iain Gray) and the SCOTTISH OFFICE, (for dis-information), have been at it again trying to talk down independence by selectively picking figures from the Scottish Budget purporting to show SCOTLAND couldn't stand on it's own two feet.  My feelings for Murphy are summed up by the following quote:

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Marcus Tullius Cicero (Ancient Roman Lawyer, Writer, Scholar, Orator and Statesman, 106 BC-43 BC)

One question Mr Murphy.  If England is subsidising us so much, why is she desperate to keep us in the union?  Or is that just NEW LABOUR afraid to lose the seats in the British Parliament?

Dear “I’m not thick” (formerly known as “Dark Lochnagar”) or INT as you might be known from now on, you want to be careful of becoming like Cicero, and you have already (obviously unwittingly) started to show signs of following his stoic philosophy , what’s plain is that you definitely agree with his famous dictum – “when you have no basis for argument, abuse the plaintiff”.

Your good fortune is that it would be difficult for you to end up like Cicero (he was known as Tully when I was at school) because he had his head chopped of and yours is so far up your large Scottish rectum that it’s difficult to imagine how that operation could be achieved; still they nailed his hands up too just to show they meant business – Mark Anthony’s wife Flavia then stuck her hair pin in the cadavers tongue as a symbolic act of revenge for the barbed comments that had slipped of it.

Cicero was a “non-Roman” and he came from one of the smaller States (I can’t remember which one) and he fully supported the idea of the Empire being made up of its constituent States (“The Republic would make good bedside reading for you) and as such he would not have supported the concept of Scottish Nationalism; he knew that it the strength of the Republic came through unity– that’s why he took to Roman politics and fought in the civil wars.

Stouters, but he knew a viper in the nest when he saw one. As far as the srength of our union is concerned, one is always amuses when one sees the Englishman complaining about the EU making their laws and generally subjecting them to what we as a nation have been subjected to since 1707. Ah but how the worm has turned. "Il est varbotum, ceud mille failte" as my ancestors may have cried.

Rosie, have you read the new online paper the Caledonian Mercury. It's VG. Murphy is quoted in there as saying that he is going to ignore the SNP in the run up to the GE and concentrate on the Tories. I do hope so!
