SPAIN WANTS TO LIMIT THE POWERS OF THE CITY DURING PRESIDENCY

Spain will seek quick approval of laws governing financial regulation during its six-month presidency of the European Union next year, Spanish officials said today.

Diego Lopez Garrido, Spain's minister for European affairs, said Spain wanted new financial supervision laws approved during its presidency, which runs until June 30th.  Last week France and other EU countries forced Britain to agree to the creation of three new powerful EU financial regulators.

City leaders have already warned that moves to increase regulation in the City could prompt leading firms to move out of the EU altogether.

Sounds about right.  They've fucked our, FISHERIES, HEAVY INDUSTRY, ELECTRONICS, AGRICULTURE and all the rest.  Leaving us as a SERVICE ECONOMY, where most of the population work in low paid jobs like McDonalds and cleaning offices.  Might as well let them ruin the only thing we have left, which incidentally is reckoned to pay 80% of private sector taxes in this country, FINANCIAL SERVICES.

The quicker WE GET OUT OF THE EU THE BETTER.  It is like a HEAVY WEIGHT ROUND OUR ECONOMY!

DL. None of the Scottish parties want to leave the EU. Do you want people to vote UKIP ?

Vote for. I hope that we might see sense once we get independence. If I was in England I would be voting UKIP. At one time you could depend on the Tories to be sceptical about Europe, but not this twat Cameron.

DL .But the only party who want Independence are the SNP and they favour the EU more than any of the other parties. In fact their slogan of 'Independence in Europe' highlights this.

Vote for. Yeh, I know and it's worrying. I so fervently believe in independence that I would take it first and worry about Europe later. After independence, politics will change. the SNP really only exist to get Scotland independence so they are really a one issue party. After independence when we get the country on it's feet and our balance of payments rises because of our natural resources and we become net contributors to the EC, people might say, "oh here, fuck this, we got rid of England and now we're keeping the rest of Europe going". I would much prefer if we become like Norway and Switzerland, trading with the EU but not part of it.
