101,000 STOPPED FOR TERRORISM SEARCHES AND NOT ONE ARREST!

Heavy-handed police tactics have harmed race relations, human rights groups warn

Not one person stopped and searched under anti-terrorism powers in Britain was arrested for terrorism-related offences last year, the Government's own figures show.

The alarmingly high use of random searches is more evidence of heavy-handed policing which will alienate all communities, human rights groups said yesterday.

Of those stopped, 17% were Asian and 10% were Black.

So in other words, 73% were Caucasian.  I don't know what that says about minorities saying that they are being targeted. 

But what it does mean, is that 'terrorism' or more correctly, the threat of it, has won.  If 101,000 people are being stopped in the name of terrorism and none charged, Britain has become a police state.  How is it that the police, can stop someone, with no suspicion of a crime being committed and question them about being terrorists?  If it takes you, 2-3 hours to check in for a domestic flight, the terrorists have won.  If we're spending fortunes paying for MI5, MI6 and all the rest of the state security paraphernalia and they can't stop terrorism, then the terrorist has won, or rather, the bankers who finance all this turmoil, have won. 

AND SO THE PROGRESS TO GLOBALISATION CONTINUES APACE-DON'T TRUST THE POLITICIANS!

France and Germany launched a joint drive to 'anchor Russia to the West' at a three-way summit on Monday in northern France billed as sealing a new era of co-operation between Moscow and Europe.

So the headlong rush to GLOBALISATION continues apace.  The next step will be inviting Russia and a selective few meanwhile, of the Ex-Russian states, to join the EU and NATO.  The excuse given to the world will be the rise of Islam and the perceived threat it poses to the West.

Fortunately some of us know that it is not the threat from Islam that we have to worry about, but you know who, whose plan, this has been from the start.  Don't listen to your politicians, whatever colour.  Look through the news when you hear it on TV.  For instance all this talk of renewed terrorism alerts.  It's only to get us in a state of panic.  Check out what information there is on the web about 9/11 and 7/7.  We're not all mental, conspiracy theory nuts!   Only by fighting their plans and hopefully thwarting their ambitions can you hold out any hope for your ancestors.  I hope Buddha isn't right.  I for one don't want to be re-incarnated!

C.I.A. AGENTS ON TRIAL IN ITALY

Later this month, a Milan court is due to return verdicts on 26 Americans, all but one of them CIA agents, accused of the extraordinary rendition of a radical Egyptian cleric, Hassan Mustafa Osama Nasr. Armando Spataro, a public prosecutor who made his name with a series of big mafia trials in the Nineties, wants to send the 26 Americans down for between ten and 13 years. Because the agents are being tried in absentia, and the US won't extradite them, it is unlikely any of them will ever end up behind bars.


Nonetheless, a guilty verdict would still be of symbolic importance: a repudiation of the unchecked zeal with which the Bush administration chased its enemies in the aftermath of 9/11; a firm message that no intelligence agency is above the law, even in an allied country; and a significant victory for the independence of the Italian judiciary, which had been under government pressure not to pursue this case.


"Democracies are founded on principles that cannot be renounced even in moments of emergency," Spataro said last week. "If we gave up that vision we would have partly lost the fight against terrorism."


HOW TRUE. I just wish that our judiciary would have been as bold. 9/11 was a horrific incident but when democracies turn to RENDITION and TORTURE of suspects on evidence which is flimsy to say the least, I believe then that it legitimises acts of terror. For every cleric grabbed off the streets in a foreign country, a thousand are converted to the ways of terrorism.
