Employers are to be allowed to discriminate in favour of women, black and disabled job candidates under controversial new laws.
Lib Dem equalities minister Lynne Featherstone insisted the shake-up announced yesterday was not about ‘political correctness’ but making the workplace fairer.
The legislation was drawn up by Labour’s deputy leader Harriet Harman but has been adopted by the Coalition.

This seems to me to be another attempt by the Marxist left to breakdown the family unit. If a (female?), black transgender, applicant with a wooden leg is the best person for that position, that is fair enough. But I would hate to be an employer who couldn't pick who he thought was the best, in case it crossed some obscure and IMO wrong piece of employment legislation, because be in no doubt, this legislation will soon be turned on it's head and it will be illegal not to pick the black lesbian, very soon. How the fuck are you supposed to run a business in the private sector, if you can't pick who you want to work for you? What's the point in spending 5 years of your life, drinking, fornicating and making an arse of yourself at Uni, if some less qualified prick, gets the job, before you? We forget however that most Libdems are slightly to the left of Harpo Marx and this is one example of where the Tories should have gone on and Governed as a minority Government.
After all, it works perfectly well in Scotland, maybe?
