But the four-day visit by Benedict XVI, which begins next Thursday, has triggered fierce criticism because of the Pope’s ‘inadequate’ reaction to the scandal of paedophile priests.
As most of you know, I don't give a fuck about any of the 'mainstream' religions. I'm sure there are Paedophiles in all religions not just the Catholic one. Who has the 'best imaginary friend' is a game played by all, religions. Actually your belief, if you have one, is for your imaginary friend and 'religion' is the business that has built up around it. However if it suits you, fair enough. What is surprising to me, is that the Catholics, rather than the Pakistani Muslims or the Jews have been more successful at making money out of it, knowing their predication for making money!
My Father-in-Law, a Catholic all his life and one who attended church on a weekly basis even if he didn't always agree with what the Priest was saying, is dying form a particular virulent cancer. He's 84 and instead of embracing death as a new chapter in his life, is IMO shitting himself. So you ask yourself, what has it all been for? Has it all been worth it? I don't like to ask him to come back and give me a sign, in case I'm totally wrong, which wouldn't be the first time, BTW!

Yes DL that's always my biggest puzzlement with the worshippers of sky fairies. Why do they fear death ? Why don't they go to death dancing and singing ? Knowing that they will be forever in the Sky fairies land of love and fun. I suspect that they know it's all lies and that they should have had a good time while they had the chance !

I personally think that Dark Lochnagar is one of those 'men' (if you can call him that) who pretends he is the 'voice of the people' or a 'working class kinda guy'.
