KENNY MaCASKILL-HAVE SOME PRIDE IN YOUR OFFICE

Scottish Justice Minister, Kenny MaCaskill led an anti-fascist march in Edinburgh yesterday in protest at a planned march by the right wing Scottish/English Defence League.  Accompanying him were Iain, (nae pals), Gray and some civil liberties Lawyer.

Now whilst Iain Gray would walk through fire to get a day out with some new pals, I don't think that Scotland's Justice Minister should be out protesting because 50 casuals have come up from England on an 'away-day'.

I supported MacAskill over the Lockerbie Bomber and the other shite that Labour in Scotland have tried to fling at him but in this case I think he should have instructed the Police to deal with it.  Rightly or wrongly and whatever you think of their politics, I don't see why the 'Defence League' should not have been allowed their wee march and he shouldn't have been leading the protests against it.  The 'UNITE' campaign seem to think that just because they are vociferous, everyone in Scotland agrees with their aims.  That is not the case.  Many people in Scotland are afraid of the 'multi-culturing' of their nationality as has happened in parts of England, where 'blacks only' ghettos have been created.

Scotland has welcomed many nationalities over the years and will continue to do so.  All we ask is that as they keep their national roots dear, that they also try and blend into the Scottish culture.

Fight fascism by shutting people up whose ideas you don't agree with - aye right. Here we have Kenny - the Justice Minister - demonstrating against free speech. Disgraceful!

I actually agree with the stated aims of the EDL: i.e., against the spread of sharia and the Islamization of the UK. As for the SDL - are they no just some blue noses oot for some agro?

I doubt if we will see Kenny march against state sponsored child abuse or state sponsored clampdowns on internet blogs such as yours DL.
Have you noticed Kenny's new bill ? Makes any online activity that criticises government activity a breach of the peace ( a la Mr Green ).

Scunnert, wouldn't say I disagree with them either. I would however disagree with their methods of advancing their opinions. Aye but free speech is free speech. Personally I would ban those fuckers with MaCaskill.

Quite pleasant, Mmmm! I looked at it and I don't think that it covers blogs that disagree with the Government but I have been proved wrong before!

Quite pleasant, I see what you mean but remember they are working to their own agenda. I don't think it would be easy to bring in an internet stalking law which only applied to Scotland it would have to be a UK wide law if not a European one.
