FROM AN E-MAIL SOMEONE SENT ME.

IMMIGRANTS, NOT BRITONS, MUST ADAPT.

Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on London , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Brits.
However, the dust from the attacks has barely settled and the 'politically correct' crowd begin complaining about the possibility that our patriotism is offending others.
I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain . However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of Britain being a multicultural centre for community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Britons, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of wars, struggles, trials and victories fought by the untold masses of men and women who laid down their lives and of the millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!
We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this.
But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our National Motto, or Our Way of Life, I encourage you take advantage of one other great British freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.
We didn't force you to come here. If you don't like it GO HOME!!  You asked to be here.. So accept the country that accepted YOU. Pretty easy really, when you think about it..

I don't agree with all of  the above, but WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I think it's exactly the same as the email that was sent around in 2009 purporting to be from the Australian PM. Unfortunately the author is lazy and has just plagarised someone else's words/thoughts/work!

I too do not agree with all that was expressed!

Daisy, I don't know. An old mate of mine sent me it with the instruction to pass it on. As I said I don't agree with ALL of it, I'm just trying to work out what bit it is I disagree with!

The problem is that if you try to be generous some scrounger will take the Mickey, if you appear considerate some opportunist will overstep the mark and unless you have a Government that realises that you are on the slippery slope and the Labour Party have cynically encouraged immigration because it has kept them in power.

Unfortunately when pendulums swing back they tend to go too far, I think your correspondent is right in what he says but I am sad that he has to say it.

I'm glad you are "taking ideas from the floor" though rather than just "trawling the rags" for ideas.

Ahem; we also speak the Gaelic, Lallans and the Welsh.

Apart from that there is little that upsets me in your stolen posting.

Stouters, nice to see you back despite the negative critcism you've been taking. One chap even described you as a 'Troll'. Jings, heavens, help ma boab.

As I beleive I said to you once before if you look at my blog, you will find at least half the content is not my take on some news story but original writings by myself. I think the e-mail is mostly right and I would find it difficult to argue with it's content.

Tcheuchter, sorry, the script was originally written for an English point of view and I had to Scottify it but I missed that bit. How could I have forgotten Lallans?

I can't find the bit I don't agree with either. What's Lallans?

Banned, it's a tcheuchter dialect of Scottish English spoken in the north of Scotland. Quite poetic in it's own way. A wee bit like Rabbie Burns. You wouldn't understand it so there is no point in giving you an example! ;-)
