TURKEYS IN SHORT SUPPLY THIS CHRISTMAS!

Turkeys May Be In Short Supply This Christmas

High quality turkeys could be in short supply this Christmas because of the recession, retail experts say.
DON'T WORRY THERE ARE 120,000 OVER AT THE POST OFFICE!

If they're short of Turkeys, theres plenty of them sitting in Parliment and at the BBC.They could even get some from UAF,but they might be a bit bitter and twisted for my liking.

I'm quite partial to a bit of tit...shit,I mean BREAST.Not so much for the dark meat as it tends to go off quicker.I'm into stuffing, but I prefer a good old-fashioned roasting...just having trouble finding a bird that will do it...if you know what I mean?:-)

Lord Ring, I have it on good authority that you haven't had a gobble for ages.

Ansel, I suppose we'll just have to have Swan again this year. The Parkie fucking very nearly caught me last year.

Shortage because of the recession ?
Talk about cart before horse. There may be a shortage of turkeys but that is because the supermarkets lowered their orders through fear of the recession as boasted by the govt. Their problem is that customers orders are coming in at the usual rate, hence the looming shortage, and this confirms my belief in " recession, what fucking recession ? "

Banned, I think that as long as you have a job the recession is not a factor. Their is no doubt that recessions can be amplified due to the shitetalk in the papers and on TV. Supermarkets will have cut back on their ordrers and of course their is a lead time of about 16 weeks to produce a fully grown turkey. I know this because I am rearing my own this year due to the fucking recession.

I'm sure there is a recession DL but it's highly localised and is certainly not making much impression around here. My neighbouring local authority is reporting a drop from last years unemployed. Sorry if it affecting you mate.

It seems to be affecting the north west of England down to B'ham most. In Scotland it is ok. I remember the last recession and thinking the same. Anyone with any wherewithall can at least be self employed doing something.
