A source at Strathclyde Police told The Sunday Post, “We know all about it and will be planning well in advance.
“Our public order trained officers feel confident in dealing with any trouble if it erupts.
“In Scotland police officers can act quicker than their English counterparts — we don’t have the same number of protocols.
“If anyone steps out of line they’ll be locked up before they know it.”
"THEY DON'T HAVE THE SAME NUMBER OF PROTOCOLS". WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN? I THINK WE SHOULD BE TOLD!

Aye, caught my attention too.
Knowing that I feel so much safer now.
I think they've been watching the TV series "24" too much. They're always banging on about "Protocols" in that.
In this case I would guess that it simply means they haven't got a plan and will just wade in with clubs.
Having seen film of their previous demos on Rab's site and others , I think the polis won't have to deal with them at all .
It'll be Aamer Anwar and his SWP/Jihadist pals that'll be getting battoned and a weekend lie-in in London Road .
That'll be the UAF notified well in advance, then!
I like to look at the police as they are: men and women who take their roles seriously as police.
I've encountered police all around the world, and most of them are the same: they are police. They think and live like police. They are always police. And that's the beauty of police: it doesn't matter who they work for, they re still police. Today they are the police forces for European and American hippies; and tomorrow (or so) they'll be police for me and mine. They don't choose sides when the dust has settled. They remain police no matter who's in charge.
But police are still human, and they remember who was a bad guy prior to the regime change, who insulted the police, and who caused needless trouble. The police aren't any enemies of mine: they're associate in time to come.
I wish I had your confidence DAG. There have been too many "fit-ups" here for me to be entirely confident in our Police.
The frog just noticed the water in the pot getting warmer, and yet, he doesn't jump out.
