BANKERS ARE BASTARDS WHO SHOULD BE GOVERNED PROPERLY!

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has announced that it is to cut 215 full-time jobs, with work moving to India.

Eh why?  I thought we owned the fucking thing?   Why are our politicians letting them move jobs from the UK to India?

This is a perfect example of why Scotland should be independent.  We have no control over our institutions.  We bailed out this BRITISH company, then Cameron stands by and lets them move jobs to India?  Can you imagine Alex Salmond letting that happen, if of course we had control over our own affairs?

I don't see it.  We have to have more control over our politicians!

"the public are not liable for the private debts of private banks"

except when the public owns the bank, then they are now liable for all the debt
think that owning these banks is good for the public now? [I'm pretty sure that the shareholders think it's great] hmmm? maybe that's why bonuses are at an all time high along with massive loses?

Doggers, i never thought it was a good idea. We should have let them go to the wall with the Government guaranteeing balances.

Ranters, I would have used the Ayrshire term 'Fuckpigs' but as I'm syndicated on FB, I would have got my fingers smacked!

DL it isn't great, can you imagine the French. Even if they spoke a language other people understood allowing this to happen. Our British government simply doesnt care about the working man.

Doggers, Oh! I just hadn't seen you commenting for a while. We want to hear what you think!

Call me controversial , DL , but how is Alec "Popular" Salmond going to do anything about this massive "BRITISH" company ?

Would he save a single "BRITISH" job ?

Would his "independent" EU province of Scotland be able to prop up the Royal Bank , or would we have gone the way of Greece , Southern Ireland or , now , Spain (29% unemployment)?

Fantasies are good . Reality is much more tricky .

Oli,the trouble with Unionists is that they believe that because there is the word 'Scottish' is part of the title of the title then they are are Scottish companies despite the fact they have been paying the British treasury since their inception or 1707.I firmly believe that it is better to have politicians closer to us like in Holyrood, rather than in Westminster where they seem to influenced by the British Establishment. I don't believe the same situation would arise in an independent Scotland.
