DO GERMAN CARS COME WITH A DIFFERENT SPEED LIMIT FROM THE REST OF US?

After having driven the 1800 or so  miles from Spain to Scotland this week, keeping more or less to the national speed limits, it struck me that at least 80% of the cars that overtook me, were of German origin, BMWs, Audis, Mercs, Volkswagens and the odd Porche.

Do the owners of these vehicles get some sort of extra speed limit or is it just a teutonic  power thing?

SPAIN- A DIFFICULT PLACE TO DO BUSINESS.

Strikers in Galicia

There was a general strike in Spain today with trade unions saying there was an 80 percent turnout and the right wing Government saying that it was 30 percent.

As usual the truth will lie somewhere in the middle.

I think I have a little insight into Spain and the Spanish people.  The Spanish worker has a very different attitude, in general, to the British.  A Spanish worker wants to work for the civil service and retire with a good pension.  There is not the same emphasis in Spain on climbing to the top of the greasy tree and being career orientated over their quality of life, particularly, family life and that for me is one of the many charms of the country.  Unfortunately, it also makes the 'entrepreneurship' of the Spanish economy less than what it might be.

Workers in Spain, have what we would call, fabulous employment rights.  They currently get 45 days pay per year of employment if they are made redundant, although the current Government wants to cut that to 33.  That equates to 7 in the U.K.  Spain however, is one of the hardest places in the world to start a business.  They also have this weird notion that when business turns down like now in the recession, instead of cutting your profit margin from what you made in the good times to increase business, you increase your prices to make more profit from the dwindling customers you still have!  Very strange.

However you have to remember that Spain is a fragile democracy which until a few years ago was under the Franco dictatorship.  I have a friend who has told me of what that was like for his family.  His Grandfather was denounced as a 'Rojo', (Red), by a neighbour who coveted his fields.  He was arrested and only through the auspices of the village priest was he let go.  Many people disappeared, never to be seen again in those times and the Catholic Church being in leagues with Franco, wielded enormous power.  He had to move to Germany to escape after being released from prison. Many old people even yet when asked what they think of Franco will be non-committal for the fear of being locked up, even in their own heads.

So, you have to remember that the Spanish people have fought hard for their democracy and their liberties, although like in the first sentence the way forward for Spain lies in the the middle somewhere.  Somewhere, where they can develop their own particular traits and economy free from the constraint of the Euro-Zone and the ECB and in particular, the Franco-German axis, who do not understand how economies like Spain work.

ALONG WITH ORKNEY AND SHETLAND MY STREET WANTS TO BE A SEPARATE COUNTRY.

The former leader of the Libdums, Tavish Dickhead Scott has decided that the isles of Orkney and Shetland could remain a part of the UK should Scotland decide to become independent.

The people in my street have also decided that if they vote against independence they could become a separate country. They have asked me to be Prime Minister, which I shall do through one of my minions whilst I sit in the sun in Spain.  We will of course demand control over our own mineral supplies and will demand that the Paki shop sells his drink at cost price to residents.  When the population are pissed out their skulls they won't notice that I have tripled their council tax which will be filtered to a bank account in Spain.  When I enough to by a bike for the wife, she will be able to pedal to the shops to get me my bevvy instead of walking.  We will vote in Sean Connery to be the first President in place of those German bloodsuckers who currently sit in Buckingham Palace.

You might say that all of this is a bit far fetched, but that stupid looking fucker, Scott, started it!

IS THIS NOT THE JOB CREATION WE NEED?

A man jailed for dealing in cannabis resin worth almost £1m has had £64,000 seized under proceeds of crime laws.
Colin Wilson, from Glasgow, was jailed for five years and seven months in October after he admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

Now is this not the type of person we need in a modern Scotland?  Someone who provides a service to people with a need?   Why confiscate money from an entrepreneúr.  Should we not be encouraging this type of person with a new way to make money, perhaps legally.  Maybe selling dodgy double glazing, solar energy or working for an energy company, door to door?  Or would a call centre, McDonalds or washing dishes in an Indian restaurant be more suitable?

Makes you want to be an Indian or a Brazilian.

UNIONIST ABSOLUTE PISH!

I only give you this to emphasize what pish the Unionists come up with!

English 'would bomb our airports'

GLASGOW and Edinburgh airports, in an independent Scotland, could be bombed by an English government if it was threatened by an unfriendly country, a former deputy leader of the UK Conservative Party has warned.
Lord Fraser of Carmyllie also warned that SNP policies removing nuclear forces from Scottish bases and reducing Scotland's navy "essentially" to fishery protection vessels could make Scotland a war zone. He said a country with a few fishery protection vessels was "asking to be invaded".
The former Lord Advocate and Solicitor General said he did not see who might have "evil intentions" against England but he had missed "the import of the Balkan crisis and the ramifications of 9/11" and would hesitate "to predict the crises even in the rest of the century".
He foresaw the possibility of an enemy commander ordering the runways at Scottish airports to be cleared because his planes would be landing and "if that were to happen what alternative would England have but to come and bomb the hell out of Glasgow airport and Edinburgh airport".
He suggested one solution would be to base the nuclear fleet, currently based on the Clyde, to Scapa Flow in the Orkney Island

SARKOZY TOOK GADDAFI MONEY FOR ELECTION

Nicolas Sarkozy received £42 million from Muammar Gaddafi in funding for his 2007 presidential election campaign, it was claimed on Monday.

So the wee French shite took the man's money, or the country's and then hunted him down using French aircraft and special services.  Is this the sort of man you'd want running your country?  To be honest with you, I wouldn't pish on him if he was on fire and that's nothing to do with the fact that he's a Franco Hungarian Jew with dubious morals.  I just like seeing politicians burn!  One down, William Hague is next.

ERIC JOYCE IS A MORON-BUT WHY DO THEY HAVE BARS IN THEIR WORKPLACE?

"Eric Joyce started out in his political career as a self-styled, idealistic campaigner.

But 11 years on from his election as a Labour MP he has found himself outside a London court talking of his "personal shame" for assaulting four fellow politicians in a House of Commons bar".-BBC Scotland

Joyce is a moron.  A typical big-headed Scottish Labourite.  He obviously has a drink problem like many others in the House of Commons and the Lords.  But, can anyone tell me why they have numerous bars in Westminster?   Does anyone else have a bar in their work?  If you get pished out your brains, are you allowed to carry on with your work?

The only honourable solution for this man who heads the expenses list for MPs with nearly a £1,000,000 a year, is for him to resign from his job, refusing a pension and allowances and an immediate by-election should be held.

What's the chances of that happening?

MAN CUTS OFF LOVE RIVAL'S COCK!

A jilted boyfriend who sliced off his love rival's penis and flushed it down a toilet is to go on trial in France.
Blaise Fragione, 38, has confessed to knocking out his cheating girlfriend's lover then cutting off 'two thirds' of his manhood with a razor blade.
He then flushed the severed organ down a toilet at his home in Mediterranean city of Marseille.

Now that's what I call a man!

TESCO TAX IN SCOTLAND. HALLELUJAH!

Bid to scrap 'Tesco tax' defeated at Holyrood

A last-minute bid to scupper Scottish government plans for a tax on supermarkets and large shops has been defeated. The so-called Tesco tax will see retailers which sell alcohol and tobacco pay an extra £95m over the next three years.

Gracias a dios!  Hopefully these greedy fuckers will no longer be able to squeeze the small shops like a great English octopus!

BANKERS ARE BASTARDS WHO SHOULD BE GOVERNED PROPERLY!

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has announced that it is to cut 215 full-time jobs, with work moving to India.

Eh why?  I thought we owned the fucking thing?   Why are our politicians letting them move jobs from the UK to India?

This is a perfect example of why Scotland should be independent.  We have no control over our institutions.  We bailed out this BRITISH company, then Cameron stands by and lets them move jobs to India?  Can you imagine Alex Salmond letting that happen, if of course we had control over our own affairs?

I don't see it.  We have to have more control over our politicians!
