FRENCH PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL PROMISES 75% TAX RATE-SHOULD WE HAVE THE SAME?

The Socialist politician who is on course to become President of France will introduce a top tax rate of 75 per cent, it was confirmed today.
Francois Hollande, who has already declared himself an ‘enemy of financiers’, said he was deliberately targeting the radical policy at millionaire bankers.

The plan is that those on very high salaries and bonuses, bankers footballers, entertainers and the like should pay 75% when the earn over 1,000,000 Euros.  Now while I don't want to stifle entrepreneurship , (what would the French know about that), I think it's only fair that people earning fantastically large sums should pay more.  Look at that twat, Bono.  Now I know he's Irish, but he's worth fucking fortunes which he hides in offshore accounts as do many who are British like (Sir) Phillip Green who hides his money in his wife's name in Monaco.  If these pricks want to live here and take advantage of protection from the (British) state, then they should pay their taxes fairly.  So I say, 'vive le republic' and off with their heads!

TAPPIN'S EXTRADITION IS A DISGRACE!

The extradition of this man to the U.S. is nothing short of a disgrace.

There is no reason that he couldn't have been tried here and if found guilty, then jailed here.  As he says,
"I have no rights. Abu Qatada is walking the streets of London today and we cannot extradite him. He has more rights than I have.
"If I was a terrorist I would not be going to America. I think it's a shame, a disgrace.

HE HAS A GOOD POINT!

CAMERON GOES DOWN LIKE LUMPY PORRIDGE IN SCOTLAND

Cameron has a Scottish father, but the old Etonian went down like a piece of shite on your shoe at a visit  to a Fife porridge factory.

Why do these fuckers think they can come up here and try to sook in with people who are patently not interested in them or agree in any way with what they stand for?  Why can't they just let Scotland go its own way and we can remain friends and we may even sell them some water at a decent rate?

People like Cameron are part of the British establishment and as such,  are desperate to keep Scotland in the Union.  They will do anything short of killing people in the streets, maybe!  They know what has been kept from the people of Scotland for years, that Scotland more than pays its way in the Union.

A SHORTAGE OF WATER IN ENGLAND-HAVE SOME OF SCOTLAND'S

This a reservoir in England.  40% less water than usual at this time of year.  Is that down to global warming?  Probably not.  It may just be an unusually dry year.  It is however an opportunity for Scotland to make some more exports.

The UK Government has floated the economy on Scottish oil since the 1970s.  Now is the time to send them some of our Scottish water, a Scottish resource, at a premium of course.  We have to have a benefit from the fact that it pisses down most days, even in summer.

It does surprise me however, that in Spain, a country where it doesn't rain much, they have plenty of water.  I as many of you know have been in Murcia for the last 2 months or so.  It's rained 3 times, all at night.  I know it rained because there was slight wetness on the pavements in the morning, although it might have been a heavy dew.  I pay less than  many of you in England pay for my water and although I watch what I use, there are never any shortages.  The reason?  Water is a precious resource here.  They don't waste it.  We get much of our water from the north of Spain and they gripe that we waste it on golf courses.  Which is muerdo, of course.  Any water that is used on the golf course comes from the toilets of the people who live here.  Which is why you never lick your fingers when you play golf here.

But, how many desalination plants are there in Britain?  My guess, would be fuck all.  Over here they are all over the place and even small places like here in Mazarron have them.

It's time the English, woke up to the fact that one of the basics of life, water, shouldn't be privatised and made to cost a fortune.  At the very least it should be properly resourced and reservoirs at this time of year shouldn't be half full!

MAN WHO RAPED NUMEROUS 3 YEAR OLD HAS HIS SENTENCE CUT!

A nursery worker who filmed himself raping a three-year-old pupil has had his minimum sentence slashed by Britain’s top judge on appeal.
Paul Anthony Wilson, 21, could now be released after just 13-and-a-half years, in a move intended to encourage paedophiles to admit to their crimes.
Wilson, of Nechells, Birmingham, admitted two counts of rape and 16 counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, 25 counts of making indecent images of children and three of distributing such images.
But the Lord Chief Justice reduced his minimum sentence on appeal, to enable more straightforward convictions and spare young rape victims - and jurors - the ordeal of a contested trial.

THEY SHOULD HAVE TAKEN HIM OUT AND STRUNG HIM UP BY HIS BALLS UNTIL DEAD OR HIS BALLS DROPPED OFF, THEN SHOT HIM!

IAN HAMILTON QC

I saw this article in the Scottish Review and I thought I'd share it with you.  It's by Ian Hamilton QC, the man who nicked the Stone of Destiny, for those that don't know him.

Soon I will be dead.

But, oh, to be alive

at this moment in Scotland

Ian Hamilton QC
I am 86. Thus I have lived in the United Kingdom for more than a quarter of its existence. My observations on its identity and mine may be of value.
Even in the 1920s and 1930s I always knew I was a Scot. So sure was I of my identity that I never minded being called British or English. If called the latter I just thought they were wrong. During the war we were all called English. As I grew up I discovered that my petit bourgeois contemporaries thought that there was no Scotland. It had been absorbed into its greater neighbour. Looking back this is not surprising. The union gave us the chance to expand into the great free trade area that became the British empire. We seized that chance. Glasgow was the empire's second city. We were the workshop of the world.
Seventy years ago it seemed that the price we had paid for the wealth of empire was the loss of our identity as Scots. To be ignorant of who you are is profoundly disturbing. England suffers from it badly today. The England of the shires, of Puck of Pook's Hill, has gone. England is now London.
We have been luckier. We are still us. We blame the loss of our industries on successive English governments not on ourselves. We did nothing. We continued to vote unionist. The enterprise that built the great forges has been lacking. I can tell you where it went. It went to schools like Fettes and Loretto where the enterprise was whipped out of them and they were squeezed into the mould of English gentlemen. They live on in their great-grandfather's country estates here in Argyll. The enterprise has gone elsewhere.
We lost our confidence when we lost our empire. Don't worry. It's coming back. Even Mr Fred Goodwin, is a sign. Better to gamble and topple a great bank than to live in the suburban inanity of Bearsden. The 1878 failure of the City of Glasgow Bank led to the founding of the great law firm of McGrigor Donald and to the Industrial Exhibition of 1888. McGrigors, as it was laterally called, has now joined up with a great London firm. We Scots are true internationalists and there is no border to our abilities. Failure is the manure of success. The loss of empire followed by the loss of our industries has caused us Scots to look round. Even the great landlords are affronted to think their estates end at the salt seashore. The solum of the seabed to beyond the furthest horizon is still held by England. That is where the next great development will come. We have three quarters of the tidal power of Europe. Oil is pocket money compared to the tides.

We have different values, we and London. No clearer example can be found than in our belief that education is everyone's right. 'Til the rocks melt wi
the sun' said our first minister on the right to a free university education.

Even in a nation's history 86 years is a long time. I remember the salient points of the change from British to Scottish. None of them was political. We never got the jail for the Stone. The people cheered us. There was public support for our 'no numeral' campaign when Elizabeth the 'Second' came to the throne. Scotland had had no 'First' Elizabeth. Our coronation souvenirs without the numeral were wildly popular. The newspapers backed us in their news columns but refused to take our paid advertisements. They were feart as they still are.
Then one day I went into a pub and found a group gathered round a TV set cheering wildly. Someone had scored a goal against England. The affectionate anti-Englishness of the general public is far more proof of the independent vitality of the Scottish nation than any vote. There is more racial abuse towards us in the English papers than we would ever think of using towards England. It is a much loved foreign country but it is recognised as foreign.
And now we are to have a referendum. Mr Cameron, the near-illiterate occupier of the post of Disraeli and Gladstone and Churchill, steals a word from Quebec and refers to it as a neverendum. Is there a better definition of democracy than a neverendum? He will face a neverendum at the end of his five years if not sooner. In the long history of Scotland our referendum's only significance is that we feel unhappy and we want change. Whatever the result that feeling will remain.
Recently I spoke on the same platform with a Tory and a Liberal. They said they would abide by the result of the referendum. I said I wouldn't. I would always listen to any argument for the continuation of the union if one can be found. I have heard none except that change is bad. I asserted a principle. That Scotland is a nation. Nations should govern themselves. Can anything be clearer?
We have different values, we and London. No clearer example can be found than in our belief that education is everyone's right. 'Til the rocks melt wi the sun' said our first minister on the right to a free university education.
I have lived through the last quarter of a union which brought great benefit to many countries including Scotland. I wish I was in my first year of university instead of being 86. Soon I will die. To die will be an awfully big adventure. But not as big an adventure as being young in our newly awakened Scotland.

BRITISH AND QATARI TROOPS FIGHTING WITH THE REBELS IN SYRIA!

First foreign troops in Syria back Homs rebels. Damascus and Moscow at odds
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report February 8, 2012, 1:35 PM (GMT+02:00)
Syrian tank on fire in Homs
British and Qatari special operations units are operating with rebel forces under cover in the Syrian city of Homs just 162 kilometers from Damascus, according to debkafile’s exclusive military and intelligence sources. The foreign troops are not engaged in direct combat with the Syrian forces bombarding different parts of Syria's third largest city of 1.2 million. They are tactical advisers, manage rebel communications lines and relay their requests for arms, ammo, fighters and logistical aid to outside suppliers, mostly in Turkey.
WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED?

INDIA SAYS SHOVE YOUR AID UP YOUR ARSE!

Pranab Mukherjee and other Indian ministers tried to terminate Britain’s aid to their booming country last year - but relented after the British begged them to keep taking the money, The Sunday Telegraph can reveal.
The disclosure will fuel the rising controversy over Britain’s aid to India.
The country is the world’s top recipient of British bilateral aid, even though its economy has been growing at up to 10 per cent a year and is projected to become bigger than Britain’s within a decade.
Last week India rejected the British-built Typhoon jet as preferred candidate for a £6.3 billion warplane deal, despite the Development Secretary, Andrew Mitchell, saying that Britain’s aid to Delhi was partly “about seeking to sell Typhoon.”

OK, SHOVE IT UP YOUR BIG DELHI ARSE THEN!!!!

THAT'S THE LAST TIME I'M LETTING THE WIFE DRIVE!

THE EVIL EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!

Union Hijacked has some devastating news for Alex Salmond this morning.  It looks like the rise in support for Scottish independence is about to come to an abrupt halt as Britain First launches its “Scotland says no!” campaign.
Who are they, do we hear you ask?  Well, it’s basically the English Defence League with a bit of tartan glued over the top.  Their campaign is based on ultra right wing ideology, and whilst regular Unionists harp on about the Barnett Formula etc, this mob are more concerned with influx of eastern European immigrants leading to “many of our towns and cities starting to resemble a foreign land.”
We bet Lamont, Rennie and that other one will be delighted to have their support:

‘SCOTLAND SAYS NO!’ CAMPAIGN ACTION CENTRE

Back to the mainstream media, and putting the ‘British’ into BBC we have our old chums at Pacific Quay, failing once more to put forward anything positive about independence, just the standard scares:

Keeping pound ‘has restrictions’

Not to be outdone, The Scotsman once again proudly hoists the Butcher’s Apron as it pulls out all the stops in order to gerrymander yet more non-stories.  This must surely now be the quisling’s reading material of choice:

Scottish independence: support falls 8% with different question

Ex-adviser condemns SNP ‘spin’ in official documents

Agree with me or you’re anti-Scottish, says Michael Russell

Salmond is branded ‘Goodwin of politics’

The good old Daily Express isn’t far behind mind you as it somehow managed to spin this beauty from nothing:

SNP SNUB TO SCOTTISH STEEL JOBS

Once more, Labour’s Daily Record attempts to stick a rubber knife into Alex Salmond’s back as it howls in protest about the Scottish Government not accepting bids from a Scottish steel mill, despite the fact they never even tendered for the contract in the first place:

Scottish company misses out on contract to supply steel for new Forth Bridge

And lastly let’s not forget The Sun which somehow manages to attach some blame to the Scottish independence movement for the protests in Argentina caused by the arrival of some German royalty on a set of stolen islands thousands of miles away:

The battle of Wills
