MRS DOUBTFIRE LOOKS TO THE TORY'S FUTURE BEFORE THEY GO DOWN THE TUBES!

The Tory party in Scotland are to set up a commission to look into their disastrous showing in the GE in Scotland.
Scottish Conservative leader Annabel Goldie said: "As a political party, we must always be open to fresh thinking and new ideas. It is a positive step to set up this commission.
"It will be open to everyone who has a view on how we take our party forward. No modern, progressive, political party should be resistant to change."
And the change is Annabel, break your ties with London, drop the Unionist from your title, (it refers to N.Ireland anyway), elect a younger leader not the frumpy old twat that you are and embrace independence for Scotland.
You say no party should be RESISTANT TO CHANGE, SO GO FOR IT!

Good advice...

I doubt if the legacy of Toryism in Scotland will ever be cleansed.
Resistance to devolution. Resistance to the minimum wage. Resistance to the NHS in 1947. Resistance to Scotlands coal mines. Resistance to Scottish car making. Resistance to Scottish shipbuilding. Resistance to Scottish steelmaking.
I think Goldie should get back down south to England and shut the fuck up and don't come back.

Tris, I think it's the only way they will survive and we badly need a successful right of centre party in Scotland.

Bastardo, I think you are talking shite. The Tories had a majority of the vote in Scotland in 1950 and since then we have had the Labour party grabbing whatever money and power there is going. The good thing with a Tory is that he is usually successful and rich so being an MP is a public service not a path to riches like you get with those Labour bastards.

I doubt I'm talking shite DL. I remember the early 90's quite well.
Mary Scanlons weekly rants in the local press against the minimum wage.
Fife coalmining villages shut down by Maggie because they weren't making a profit. They ticked over fine for decades and gave thousands a good job. All these folk now prop up bars pissed all the time.
Maggie closed down Ravenscraig and gave the steelworks to japan and the 3rd world.
The richer the Tory MPs get the more they want.
I won't bore you with a list but just remember Jonathen Aitken, jeffrey Archer etc. Put in prison for their greed and thievery.

The tories should give up in Scotland and concentrate on their strengths which is being Top Party in England.

DL, in response to your post at mine
"Mr Lochnagar; don't take things so personally, I didn't invite any fucker. I closed my blog to spend a couple of days deleting some old posts, there is no button for "this blog is down for maintenence"."

Bastardo, I'm fed up with all this Thatcher stole the milk out of our weans' mouths shite. Before Thatcher the UK economy was fucked! Much the same as it is now. The Steel works and the in particular the mines were unproductive and had to be shut down. If they were such a great prospect why did someone not move in and run them? You've had 13 years to turn round the so called wrongs of the Thatcher years after being left an economy in such good state that Labour didn't change the economic model for 2 years, no but all you wanted to be was in thrall to the bankers.. As for graft, those Labour bastards with their headma Tony Blair make a few Tores who took a bung for asking questions look like rank amateurs. Labour and Tony Blair have refined graft to new levels. Now they have sold all our gold at rock bottom prices and ruined the economy to such an extent that it will take 10 years at least to turn it round. If you thought the miners and the Ravenscraig workers had it tough, just wait to see what's going to happen now. There will be tens of thousands put on the dole to fund Labour's incompetenece and meanwhile that fucking jackass Gray will stand up at Holyrood and bleat about SNP cuts. Don't make me fucking laugh.

Banned, that would be the logical move. But there is a movement in Scotland that wants to see a centre right party that supports independence so we'll see what comes of it.

Myself and a few others were concerned that like a few other bloggers, you had just disappeared into the ether. My concern was evident and should take it as a compliment.

Bastardo, read this article by one of the former Labour MPs Frank Field on poverty in the UK.

Yes, for balance and good opposition there must be a right of centre party.

It's all very well wishing one party out, but then ask anyone who has lived in a one party state just how nice it was.

I mean, imagine not being about to get rid of Gray or Salmond, or Goldie or wee whatit....

Tris, no there is a big gap in the market. What do you do if you believe in independence but don't agree with the SNP's Socialist policies regarding the EU etc. I don't know, but as you say there has to be a counterbalance, a ying to a yang. A one party state is OK if it's your party and you are being enriched by that party.

Yeah DL... that's exactly what I was saying. I don't know where I went wrong in my explanation foryou to think I was against it.

I mean for England at the moment there are those who are saying that they hope that Labour will now completely disappear and leave the Tories in power for ever....

That is what they seem to think would be a good idea... but it would only be a good idea for a very short time for a very few people.

So I agree, regardless of politics. There must always be a strong and clever opposition.

Scotland needs parties of all colours including a right of centre one. (I mean we don't want hard right or hard left in any measure but very small.)

Mind, it was the Tories who took the UK into the EU and who signed most of the Treaties. Mrs T in particular. No No NO... erm well OK then.

Either she agreed with a deepening Europe, which is good for big business (her particular love), and she only talked up Britain's independence and the empire and all that stuff for the prolls' consupmtion, or she believed what she said, but was too stupid to see that Mitterrand and Khol were pissing on her.

Or......

Tri, mybe she had a cunning plan to take over Europe and looked what happened, we elected Blair and the fuckwits. It was a good job they had Brown when Blair wanted out to make his millions, because there's not a leader amongst the ones squabbling for it at the moment.
